I started one some time ago [edit: but it kind of went off in all directions without resolution]. My impression is that Tolga will be in there but I've no idea who else will be working on the DC this year. I am a mere cog. (Feel free to make your own joke about getting the shaft.)

Ive always gotten the impression that lots of people have got plenty to say about what should be done, and how (or rather what should be changed and why it should be done differently!), but none of them are prepared to put any actual effort in themselves.
But, as usual at KVR, its always about criticizing the efforts of volunteers for not meeting some perceived 'obligation' rather than actually doing any volunteering.

you mean, like the existing 'organisational help wanted' thread, which has rapidly been filled by posts from folk not actually wanting to help organise?

you should 'just' sort it all out for us.
Ah, I obviously wasn't aware that the problem was being worked on. I'd volunteer, if no one else wanted to do it, but I've got a lot going on this next year, going to be moving and a lot of other big events, I'm not even sure if I'll have internet the whole time, so I'd be unreliable. I bet there are plenty of other people more qualified than myself anyway, I sometimes run things like a randomized circuit bent Elmo doll.

You're probably just being vicious anyway, but I would have liked to have help out this last year, had I known.

Tell you what, I'll bump the "Help Wanted" thread as a start.

@whyterabbyt, ah you posted more after I replied already... I would have helped had I known, I was just waiting around wondering what was going on, it sounded like it was being handled already. I've already stated, that I'm going to be very busy this next year, but if there are a few things I might be able to help with, let me know.
