Shit i hope he and family are safe, i (used to) moan about the weather in england being shit but that kind of life threatening/ruining weather has totally stopped me for doing so (occasional british sarcasm excluded). One of my all time loved NOLA bands EyeHateGod lost pretty much everything except their lives last time around and a 2 Disc tribute album was released by bands whom covered their tracks with all proceeds going to EHG and their families which of course i snapped up. It kind of puts things in perspective for me and actually see myself very lucky nowadays.

Hi Tom,
I have a suspicion that if these pedals contain lead components there may be a problem getting them into Europe...
Im still interested tho - where theres a will theres a way....
Also - if you want more interest I suspect a post in Gearslutz would drum up more support - as they are prob more hardware inclined?

I'm guessing from the silence that this isn't going to happen then. Oh well. C'est la vie.
On the positive side, that modular layout you posted the other day looked pretty cool, Tom.

Next stop: maplins for some boxes and components and just build one myself again

If you want to know what im talking about then click the link for more info, its called the 'OCTAVIUS SQUEEZER ANALOG BASS SYNTH':

I still want to do it but I jumped the gun a little bit. It's been a tough year. Sorry if I was a little short with some members from time to time..
I guess I knew I wasn't going to get to this before the new year to start with, so sorry about that too.

When I started my treatments the doctor told me it was going to take 9 months. The second visit he made the mistake of telling me that I healed faster than anyone he'd ever seen and that I might finish the treatment early. What he didn't tell me, that I just found out recently, was that his system schedules it out for 9 months and that's just the way it is.
I'm finally pain free and comfortable and I want to get back to work but I haven't completed the treatments yet. I'm still under a doctors care for another 6-8 weeks.
I've been pushing a little too hard, putting too many irons in the fire, making too many plans, thinking I might get a 4-6 week reprieve but it's not going to happen like I had hoped.
That's a good thing in a way because I haven't finished my home remodeling/cleanup and it's going to take another 6-8 weeks.. The stars have aligned in such a way that I'm almost forced to stick to the original plan. I though that if I was going to be unable to think well enough to get anything done personally, that at least I could supervise the remodel.. so I'm stuck with it until it's done. Most of whats left to do is for me anyway.
I had intended to move the shop inside the house and remove an inner wall to make a great shop because it get so hot in Houston but I bought a new air conditioner for the garage and I'm going to try to save my guest room.
I have to build new benches and cabinets before I can set up the test gear and even have a bench. I still have to order and put up some awnings, I've got some finishing carpentry to do, a walk way to construct and whatever else my wife wants me to finish. She's got a list.
Time is working against me, I needed another 45 days. I'd have to get this all to the board manufacturers in time to be made and shipped before the end of the year break. Unfortunately I don't think I can do that. As much as I hate to admit it, maybe.. no not maybe.. it's all for the best.

I'm so sorry that I didn't say thank you for all the good wishes during our recent hurricane. Somehow I fell off the notify list for this thread and I didn't realize it was still active.
Thank you all very much. We are all safe and we didn't suffer any property damage to complain about.

yeah Tom no sorry is needed friend, honestly and i know what physical health problems do, well they did and still do to me - when i have to stop and do nothing out of necessity the/my brain goes into a chaotic frustration mode of overdrive and the ideas and plans fly out faster than i can think
