I decided to give the Oatmeal synth another chance - last time, I uninstalled it after 5 minutes because the default GUI was quite frankly unusable for me because of the low contrast, busy design and small size. After trying many different skins I found I like this the best. The layout makes the most sense and there's some spacing and separation of elements. It's not quite as easy to see the positions of the knobs in the upper and lower sections at a glance, compared to the effects section with their bright "rings", but it's still a huge improvement over default. Other skins have higher contrast knobs, but they don't get the layout quite right.

Would knobs like these be better? I could update the skin and leave the original knobs as a backup-file in the skinfolder.

Edit: screenshot removed, already updated with new knobs. See first post in the thread.

Changing the knobs is tops 10minutes of work, I just wanted to check first

Anyway expect an update in about 10 mins.

this last new version has much better clearer knobs.love it.
i'd prsonally love even more a version with all 2 knobs like in the middle section (2d ala Automat)....they look much bigger and clearer than the 3d ones.
+1 lookin forward to release of this new skin

While I'm still at it I'll make this too and include these knobs in another file.
You'll have to manually go into the Oatmeal skins folder and remove the knobs.png
and rename the new image to knobs.png for it to work though.

I'm kinda fond of those NI styled(but smaller) knobs so I'm keeping them as the default ones
