Ok, one small hint.........the type of music that pisses me off has a certain quality to it that pisses me off. That's the only hint you get.

Lots of hazardous chemical industrial noises in this one. Yes it makes me sick, and yes I feel it too. The sonata form has many fine proponents, but this has nothing to do with your song. There were a couple of mistakes in the sitar part, but otherwise, you have a future at Guantanemo. The choc ice break during the interval melted time into form.

Ah, the only one of your reviews that had to be padded out by at least 50% with references to things that aren't even there. I'm not sure what that implies, but I guess it shows I must have stood out from the others is some way, at least.

So, sort of Masonna meets Current93 here, I like this sonically, the skit doesn't quite sound like someone pissed, more like natural born sadist on a daily routine.

Nah, not enough shaking coins in a contact mic'ed metal box for me to approach Yamazaki's wonderfully painful noise levels. More influence from Great White Death-era Whitehouse and Deathpile, to be honest. The intent was meant to be less "daily routine", more "breaking point", but I can see what you mean.

I had a real struggle trying to make out the words, which I think resulted in it loosing some of its impact. The sounds were certainly annoying

'Twas a genre piece through-and-though, and that sort of struggle to make out the words is pretty much inherent in power electronics, frequently even more so than what I did. Just count yourself lucky if you couldn't make out the words

I think knockman's track is better than Voidoid Surrealist's.

Yep, I agree, Laura's song is amazing, hard to make out the many snippets the singing is probably made of. Seems slightly off-topic to me, though.

The vocals were first take, except for a second take on the final line because there was a mistake. Then I lifted the monitoring levels to fix a different problem and ended up badly clipping the 3rd and 4th takes.

Off topic? Yes I agree. I said the same thing in an email to one KVR person here before I posted. In musicals there are very few examples of females showing anger in songs. "I Hate Men" from Kiss Me Kate is a great example. "U.N.C.O.U.P.L.E.D." from Starlight Express is another. Both are funny songs as well as being angry.

Death metal or ambient industrial I thought would be easy ways to show anger. They sound loud and angry and aggressive. Satire is usually angry too. It worsens what it sends up even though its funny as well. And I like the anger in "scraping" cellos.

I think a death metal track will probably be the winner here because it fits the theme better. But this was the first idea I came up with and sometimes you do tracks which you don't think fit the theme but you enter them anyway. I'm going away soon so I don't have more time to get the guitar parts correct on a metal track.

I thought the lyrics were angry when they were written, but in looking at them now, they're probably not too angry; but they might anger certain listeners at least a tad. They are at least somewhat 'deviate' as requested by Scoops.

I could have screamed these vocals, but have never really done that; and the apartment walls are thin and neighbors can't be bothered.

Agreed though, the anger part is probably actually more of a preachy resignation.

Some of the entries I've heard so far are actually funny. Others of them are more aligned with 'horror' or 'gore' than actual 'anger.' It will be interesting to see how people vote.

Personally I rarely find any anger in death metal or industrial, it's horror, gore, deviate, depressive, but not pissed at all. If I had to bet on a genre, I'd rather bet on some more extreme punk (i.e. GG Allin - yes, Green Day - no). As we bet on winners, currently I bet on Laura, so SHUSH is probably quite right in this matter.

Maybe it's that the theme has never really appealed to anyone that can produce that kind of music before?
