Should be able to do mate, just having some home studio troubles myself (pain in the backside man) and that clip i found on one of my external drives that i did about a year ago!susiwong wrote:Hi Dean,

To me your clip sounds perfectly fine, I wouldn't have guessed your SVX or downtuning/string gauge, so apparently the concept works.
That said, the ultra fat squeals in pt.3 sound pretty unique and hint at something out of the ordinary.
I would not say your tone has too much bass in this scenario, might be different in a full mix, not sure.
Would it be possible to alternatively render that clip with your best "non-bass amp" tone, hardware, software, a mix of both, doesn't matter, to give us a comparison ?
"See" you soon, been a bit under water for a while, sorry, new band (lots of repertoire to learn), important mixing job, some real life duties, hope it will get better after the weekend.
Cheers,

I guess that the Line6 pedal and ampegSVX is my choice of amp modeler/speaker cab modeler not using IR' and my choice oppose to using an overdrive pedal and valve amp/pre-amp with a convolution speaker plug-in if you know what i mean - like my faviourite plug and play solution.
The reason it is fairly bassy is that i do ideas/demo's without a bass guitar as i do not own one myself or at least one that is not in pieces! So to compensate i do quite a big but sharp boost at around 70 - 75 Hz as the DFH kick is very attack focused the way i use it just to fill in the frequencies
See/Speak soon my friend and hopefully i should have some fresh clips
Dean
