I tried to use the search function of the browser to browse through a category (e.g. "pad"). This works only for the single patches.
An easy way to make single patches from a bank file is:
1. open the bank file on the left window and the patches appear on the right window
2. make a new folder on the left window and name it how you like (i used the name of the original bank or the author)
3. highlight all patches on the right side
4. drag those patches into the new folder on the left side
5. finished (or you could also delete the bank file if you want)
I did this with all banks i had and now i could browse/search through all patches. This includes also the categories, not only the patch names !!

So they were only efficient for a period of 40 years and it's all been downhill since then?Klemperer wrote:Hi mate, I guess this is a looong living prejudice coming from the times of about 1870-1910musikmachine wrote:Anyway i thought the germans were supposed to be really efficient.. And as I am in the best possible moods and wish everyone a happy new year, I hope you enjoy your music as ever! The nice thing in the western world is that more and more people from various countries come to Germany, so you forget about "german qualities" more and more, the most world-changing one was, as we all know, starting world wars and trying to kill all jews. No, it's really nice that there are so many many people here now, I just think we should have a Cumbria and Yorkshire, northern Norway and Sicily here too
. That would be nice.
I'm thinking of moving to europe myself. Was Germany but now i'm thinking Holland.
Trust me, you don't want a Yorkshire; one is enough!

Sorta of seems to me that anyone with an ATI video card isnt having any problems???
I was trying the demo and noticed that there were some "drawing" problems on the gui, i clicked once on the delay section in the fx but the header remained at chorus, clicked again and it showed delay but with some graphical glitches. I have an Nvidia video card.
Also it seems to slow down the Live (7) gui i.e. the meters seem sluggish. Pity as i would probably buy it only for that.

the new double-click for text entry of parameters has caused some annoyance with touchscreen operation- sometimes wile trying to tweak a parameter your finger motion will make the text box open and you have to move your finger around it to make it go away-
I wish Waldorf would have considered this when adding the feature given that touchscreen control is where computer music is going- at least offer the option to toggle it on/off
