Did you report this to support at http://bit.ly/irigsupport ?
The answer was:
Dear......,
Thanks for your email,

We tested AmpliTube for iPhone on OS4 following the procedure that you described and we didn't experience any problem. Are you still experiencing the app shut down after pressing the Preset Button?

Could you please give us more details on how the crash happens? Have you set your iPhone in some particular way?

Thanks,

Best regards,

Marco Aicardi,
Customer support
On 1. Juli I sended him a short video showing the problem and a short description.
Then I never heard from him !

But Peter do you remember, you wrote on 3th July to me on site 5 this thread:
I was told by our CTO that your issue is definitely being handled. Apologies if it is taking longer than you expected. It will be working, and they are indeed very active as there may even be an app update available soon! Thanks for your patience.
So I thought everything is fine now, because you work on this issue !

Post

Yes, your specific issue is being handled. That's what that meant, I did not mean to imply it was in the 1.0.1 update because I wouldn't even have known about that update at the time. If you don't hear by tomorrow, please PM me - though if he has the video I'm sure he's working on it but I will advise that you haven't heard.

hi i also experienced problems to listen the sound of my guitar with irig. I was able with my Iphone 3G to listen my headphone (demos and metronome) but not the guitar. I had amplitube free.

Now after have read this interessant thread, against all my thoughts, it was true : my headphones jack was even invisibly dirty but it was. And now this wonderful program works, and 16euros arrived in the pockets of ik multimedia ;)

Post

Thank you! I would not be so vehemently recommending cleaning out that jack if it hadn't also happened to me. My problem was that I NEVER use my earbuds and always keep the phone in my pocket so it was 100% dirty. Not so much invisibly dirty as yours was. :)

Post

All the versions were updated to 1.0.1 but if anybody who had Free/LE and purchased add-ons and have any issues you can drop me a line though we will have another update soon (submitted for approval already) to fix some issues that those particular users may be experiencing. Thanks!

Post

Note that 1.0.2 was released for Free and LE to resolve any issues where add-on gear was not showing up. Please update ASAP. Thanks!

 mine's always in my pocket and often seems very linty but I've never experienced an iRig issue. Maybe I have special pants?

Just read that Peavey's Guitar Amp App is out today in iTunes. There is a free version and a paid version.

Just downloaded the free version. Looks cool. Here is the link:

Thanks for that. We're confident that AmpliTube's quality stands up admirably enough to skirt that threadjack :)

Edit - and while we're on the topic, if you are not affiliated with them (I don't think that's out of range to ask, what with two posts that are both about the product and recent join date) could you find someone who can satisfy the curiosity about why the Revalver coders didn't do the modeling for this since it is a Peavey product with many/mostly Peavey amps? I know there were scale/tab and medical manual apps under the app shop's belts but I'm just curious since we took the opposite tack of having the folks with 14+ years of modeling take care of that for our iPhone app. We should compare notes some time.

probably the best/polite policy to start this in another thread :)

Hm... I've got a wide range of pants including some silver vinyl ones... but it's most likely you'll find me in cheap cargo pants from Old Navy.

Done, sorry. I thought this was an open discussion forum. It is my understanding that the iRig will work with any amp app. Is that correct?

yeah, sorry you're probably ok.. i just thought maybe the thread was started as an announcement by IK but it wasn't (i should've checked!) and it might have "rained on their parade" so to speak. so in the interest of open discussion-
the peavey app is pretty darn good and yes it works with irig!
I really like using it and it has lots of options
:)
