Under Live 8.2, the Load Bank button is not working for me. No dialog appears, and nothing visible happens outside of the button press animation. The Save Bank button does bring up a file dialog pointed to the correct directory.

Is the plugin looking for a specific relative path which may be missing on my system (since I reordered it a bit after installing  )?

My plugin is licensed and is showing up as such.
We took the time trying to examine the described behaviour in depth, but were not able to recreate it, it's really strange. For us loading banks in Live 8.2 worked fine, in whatever constellations ever.

Since someone else too told us he has crashes in crowded sessions we did a stress test in Live 8.2 (newest demo version) runing 7 instances of OP-X PRO-II on a very medicore cheap office PC just using the crappy onboard soundcard with Asio4all drivers which has worked smoothly without any problems at all. So rather difficult to trace those things if not reproducable.

Here's a video of 7 Instances of OP-X PRO-II in Live 8.2. As you can see at the very beginning loading of banks works fine. Cpu load is about 34% (live cpu meter):

Video:

System specs:
$500 office PC (Core2duo 2,53)
Live 8.2 demo
Onboard soundcard
Asio4all drivers @ 512 samples

So not better that everyone's home pc

You can download the session here to check how it works on your system:

If you have any idea concerning the bank load button (e.g. if you have this problem too) please let us know; really curious to find out more about it

I thought I would be the first but it seems someone clicked even quicker ;-)

Great synth and very useful updates in it - will write a review after this weekend
I do exist in Second Life, but my music is is from First Life.

Peter,
Picked up the VFX upgrade from the Reaktor version
last night. Lost several hours going through some
of the presets and I am very pleased! Thanks for
making this available to us Mac (and Reaktor) users.
Cheers,
Scott

Thank you :-)
It really works rather well, Rowan at SM Pro Audio has done an amazing job in improving the VFX software - OP-X PRO-II is not the easiest plugin to run in a wine environment

OP-X PRO-II has been successfully tested in Protools 8 (Windows), with the Fxpansion VST-to-RTAS adapter (v.2.1.1) used to convert the synth to RTAS

All functions work well, including automation and loading and saving of banks and patches.

Here's a short demo video:

System specs:
Intel Core i7 920
Windows 7 Professional 64bit
Pro Tools M-Powered 8.0.4
M-Audio Delta 2496
Fxpansion VST to RTAS adapter 2.1.1

I will definitely be getting it. Only ahve to decide which one to get. I currently use OPX-pro on a mac using wine. It works fine that way. I'm not sure I wanna mess with that other stuff since i have wine asio all sorted out now. Plus I guess its a cheaper upgrade path. but I'm next in line...great sounding stuff...!!

I was just wondering, has the OPX Player been updated so it can play the newer sounds?

OP-X PLAYER has not the same engine and features as OP-X PRO and OP-X PRO-II - it shares the engine with the standard OP-X; that's why it can't load or recreate the OP-X PRO-II sounds (not even OP-X PRO can)

But there's an upgrade path to OP-X PRO-II for OP-X PLAYER owners too, check the upgrade box on this site:

If you want to use in your own wine then you have to get the integral (non vfx-only) version, since the vfx edition only will run in vfx

However the full version, also the upgrade, contains both the VSTi and the VFX version in one license - so you can just upgrade (the upgrade for OP-X Pro owners is just $35)

@ Examigan:
OP-X PRO-II can't load OP-X PLAYER and OP-X banks, but all of thoase banks are included in converted format in the "Former OP-X PRO library" kit you can download for OP-X PRO-II here:
