Ok, I think this one is a legitimate question:
If you have more than one track, that could actually lessen your chances to win correct?
Obviously, this is a fun activity, and I am enjoying making music with FREE Alpha, winning isn't everything, but it would also be nice to win morphox or another shiny prize
Are votes tallied per track or per user? I assume per track.

Per track yes. One of your tracks might take votes from the other, but then it will do the same from all the others so it's a double edged sword isn't it.
This time the top 6 will get prizes so with 2 good tracks you should have a good shot at one.

Another shortie:
Vivolator - The Investigation
13 instances of Free Alpha
and again, Freverb Too for reverb, Kjaerhus Audio Classic Delay for, ahem, delay and ReaEQ
Master has ReaEQ and W1 Limiter.
Had to render 4 tracks since I just did this on my old P4 laptop, but it's a fun little piece. Trouble is, now I feel like watching a cop show...

V'ger - Soma
33 x Alpha in Reaper
FX used:
ReaEQ
ReaComp
mgTempoDelay
SA/PEQ
TesslaSE
IxoxDelay
ReaDelay
Xhip Reverb
Stillwell 1175
MAutopan
NastyDLA (no chorus/modulation)
AriesVerb
Karlette
SonEQ
TAL Tube
Xhip Limiter
IIEQ
MjCompressor
Ambience
TAL Reverb III
YOU WA SHOCK!
Ferric TDS
CLAS
Endorphin
A lot of effects are just doubles, but like to test out different things every time which is why there are several types of delay etc when 1 or 2 would have been good enough.. Quite impressed with Endorphin and IxoxDelay this time around.
But mostly impressed with Free Alpha, totally underrated synth. One of the absolute best freewares no doubt, despite its simple appearance. Terrfic sound, range and CPU usage.

you have answered a question i had, regarding free effects....the idea that these effects are free and available to all misses the fact that many of them are not available for us mac usersV'ger wrote:V'ger - Soma

Not to be a noodge, but technically as per the rules your song title should be "bstageboss - The Investigation" as we are supposed to use the same username we are posting with. Not a deal-breaker, just lettin' ya know! Nice track by the way, total crime-drama soundtrack!bstageboss wrote:Another shortie:

Looks like I need to read the rules when I'm more awake...should I re-upload?
Or is there a way to change the file names on the site?
I actually registered here at KVR loong time ago before someone gave me my current moniker; but perhaps it would be better if I changed my user name here(if that's possible
Sorry about that, everyone. What should I do?

16 instances of FreeAlpha (6 for drums)
Host: FL Studio
FX used: Luxonix LFX-1310, Oli Larkin chopper, scuzzphut6.5 lite, Smartelectronics Ambience
And Now For Something Completely Different...
Alphaton: perhaps something you didn't expect
Vaguely based on the movie by Monty Python
Like they strung together different sketches with this phrase as transition, I strung together different loops with a short break as transition.
Done in a hurry...
Apropos Harry: in case you missed it, Kate & Will are married

Some/bad trackEQ, No automation, No bouncing.
Master Fx :

Didn't know Free Alpha was skinnable, but prefer the cool blue of the original anyways..

But seriously, PC users have a certain advantage in the selection no doubt. Should maybe have the cross platform synths be limited to ditto fx, tho I foresee a certain amount of confusion and wrong plugin usage with such a rule in place..
@bstageboss: Like said, not a deal-breaker but should really have the KVR name in the file name, mp3 tag and soundcloud tag so it's clear who is who. Ask Meffy for a nick name change or re-upload, or else take your chances with the voting justice..
He yea but then the PC plebs can't access the fx that are Mac only..ebow wrote:you have answered a question i had, regarding free effects....the idea that these effects are free and available to all misses the fact that many of them are not available for us mac users
