opening a new project. inserting one instance of Ultra. slapping a few notes into the piano roll and exporting. Silence in the exported track. Switching to Altair resulted in a correct render. Switching that BACK to Ultra resulted in white noise in my speakers just after the render finished. Did not stop till i closed FL out. Render file contained the same white noise. Looks like this one is a no go for me. Pity as it may be my fav of yours yet.

for grins..and because I am stubborn... I downloaded an eval of Reaper. Installed it, loaded up Ultra, tossed a few notes into the piano roll and rendered it out. It worked. so its something that Ultra doesn;t like about FL in my system apparently.

That was a brilliant decision, Reaper makes a great addition to the big-box hosts,
and will keep them on their toes for years to come 8)

Sorry mate not planning on sticking with Reaper :) Just knew it was a host that I could get a good eval from that would load VSTs. and it confirms its something about Ultra and my system that it doesn;t like in FL not the synth itself. Still a pity as I really like Ultra but not switching hosts for one synth.

unfortunately it is not ALL FL users having this problem as HG himself has said it works fine in his demo version of 10. and he is using 10.0 so I know we have the same version of FL

Its certainly good luck to get familiar with options, and considering that Ultra Swamp is 38 meg, and the whole Reaper install is less than 25 meg...
Cheers
(ignore me, I might be secretly envious of Sytrus :( )

true enough about options. i also have sonar but its not installed on this machine. Reaper looked nice but also looked like I would need to spend a lot of time getting configured. and was not impressed with the piano roll

Progress.. by changing the resampling method down to Linear the plugin will render sound. Unfortunatly I do I also have to disable the other options which causes the project to not render exactly the way i have it in the mixer.

HG what are the export settings you are using to get sound out of FL?

I simply used the default settings with nothing changed.

Well FL doesn't have a return to default button on the export settings I have ever found. really don't want to have to reinstall just to get those back :) Mainly just need to know what the resampling method is and which options in the export window are checked.

addition: right now anytime I take it off Linear resampling the output goes away on render and I the general computer sound as well. To get sound back I have to close out FL. heh

Render: resampling: 64point sinc
checked:
Alias free ts404
HQ for all plugs
Disable max poly

Wav: depth: 16Bit int

Also checked:
Save ACIDized
Delay Compensation

that's it

Thanks. unfortunately that did not work. I get silence on the rendered mp3 or wav file and have to close out FL to get my sound back. Even then the rendered file still contains silence. You hear it click when the plugin output actually starts but nothing after that. guess this one just doesn;t like my system.

EDIT: updated my sound drivers was hoping that would fix it..nope. something about this system that it just doesn't like it seems. At least in FL..worked fine in reaper from the small test I did. I should try multiple instances in Reaper but fairly sure that will work. But doesn;t help me really hahaha.

This will be of no help to you whatsoever, but I was going to say the same silence on render happened here as well, then I noticed FL10 wasn't in song mode  :hihi:

that's the first thing i always check :)

For anyone having the export issues. the latest FL patch helps. The sound actually renders now. However the first time I tried at the end of the render I had to exit FL from the white noise that sprang from my speakers. And there is a beep or a blip at the beginning or the file. But it does export. Still a bit of a hoop jump to get a useable file but much easier than before.

Hi all,
unfortunately i jumped on buying ultra swamp before i read this post. I'm on a win7 x64 system and i use FL Studio. The problem with the white noise is really disappointing. I tried all kinds of resampling settings with ASIO4All and the emu asio drivers but still the synth is unusable.
Has anyone found a fix or workaround?
