I have always loved FL. It just "Clicked" with me but Use Reaper for Audio recording and final mixes.
FL now is more like "my band" and the arrangement goes off to Reaper for mixing and my guitar parts, which sometimes get bent out of shape in FL beore final mix.
Wonder how come Podium is not better known. I truly love it too

I just dont get it. The people @ the REAPER forums are cool as shit. Like REEEEALLY cool. No ego. There is no patting eachother on the back over there..... at all. Everyone works together to build a better DAW. The thought and time put into posts is overwhelming. REAPER is far from perfect but its WAY better than my old daw(PT 10 years). I have my shit so customized my workflow flies.trimph1 wrote:Good ol' Reaper...guaranteed to get everyone else all bothered....![]()

Name one other competitor that would have the balls to do that? Knock it all you want but at least try it first. When I say try it.... I mean like a good 2 months. I would be willing to bet you wont go back to whatever it is you are using now.
EDIT: Someone said REAPER is not as pretty as other DAW's... Install RADO and you will see the beauty. Best looking daw I have ever seen(with it installed).

Now, I'll give you this. Sometimes things do get moved, but to the best of my knowledge, it's usually after some criteria have been met. For example:michi_mak wrote:that happened to me twice - no jokinghibidy wrote:Come on now, that is not true. -anything that is offensive or gibberish (which is pretty rare)
-something about thing "x" that is not reaper specific
-posting questions about an alpha or even a beta product when there is a place for that.
Pretty sure I'm missing a couple. BUT if I'm wrong, then I do relate and I'm sorry

Great, the thread degrades the moment I want to post in it.
I started with Acid Pro 7, and loved it, but it had some issues and there were a few things that I wanted that it wouldn't do.
I kinda moved to Reaper. I bought it and tried it for a while, but there were a few things that I wanted out of it that even it didn't do (I'm still griping about those stupid bars instead of curves for envelopes, etc.).
Then, just as Hibidy was moving from Cubase 6 to Reaper, I moved to Cubase 6.
I'm loving it, so I voted Cubase.
I tried FLS and I just couldn't make sense of it. Cubase has a learning curve, but it fits the way I want to work (Mark often tells me my desktop is too cluttered and I have too many windows open (in Win7, not Cubase)).

Fl Studio. Just easier for me; automation, etc.
even with templates, etc. Sonar is too much, too bulky for my limited time.
Logic is one of the few prog's that's made me consider the mac world, but FL does me just fine so the heat has passed.

Well there is certainly nothing wrong with FL's paradigm. My only issues have been with the ability to get it to work.
Always stupid little things like not having the windows move without "zipping" and having the cpu meter not jumping all over the place without the really hoggy plugs going, or your "lifetime updates" not quite covering the "installed" stuff.
Anyways, I still applaud FL as a serious player in the arena. OT, is there a reason groove3 only has vids for "8"

Don't get me wrong. It's just that my choice of DAW is not all that solidified yet. I love Reaper as well as my Sonar X1b which is much more stable than its previous version. And, as well, Cubase 6....after all the crabbing I did about people upgrading as well....
