I think it's not so simple. I tried using mix knob in Reaper to add some dry signal, but it made some kind of a flanger/chorus sound. It must be because of wow and flutter or some phase shifting stuffheffus wrote:I would love to see a mix knob on this, and every plug for that matter. The plugin has latency so that would be the main thing... the W&F adds to the effect you're describing but try to setting it to 0 and hear how that works while mixing dry/wet...milosh_ wrote:I think it's not so simple. If it were easy, anybody could do it!

i did not try it, but i read it has iir oversampling, thus a mix knob from outside the plugin is not really possible without phase issues. dry/wet would have to be implemented inside the plugin in the oversampled areas of the algorithm.
cheers!

Outstanding plugins.
In my personal opinion all the ways you can mess with this things are fantastic. And for those who want a mix knob some settings you can get a almost transparent effects like its not even doing much.
and yea i love it on almost all my bus channels this plugin made me a huge fan of this company.

Hi All, New to KVR....
Bought reelbus and have been using it for the last few weeks.
It's an interesting beast. After my initial excitement wore off I'm finding I'm using it a little less and more selectively due to what it does to the high end. Finding it works nice on the Drum bus. Digging Professional setting. If something needs some hi end sheen the hybrid setting or the teac ones (cant remember their name right now) can work well.
Used mostly on rock stuff so far. Tried on some electronic beats and really really liked what it did tape compression wise. For Electronic prgramed drums its what I've been missing in the box.
Not sure if i can post a link as am new but this song used TBReelbus on the master, the drum bus and I think on the vocals.

Me I like the extreme settings, especially the old vintage model!

I get what you mean after the hype dies out a little you get a chance to really see what its going to fit. To be honest i to use it a little less. With that said i still use it a lot and love it on my bus channels and some times my master bus. Also its still a amazing plugins sounds really nice when you really get to know how it works also there track essentials don't get enough love. The delay on it kicks ass.foetus666 wrote:Hi All, New to KVR....

For me it's the opposite...
I didn't like it that much at 1st (mostly because I didn't really like how it sounded with ...
"extreme" settings + it's missing some of the "tape magic" for my taste (it sorta has something else in exchange perhaps?!
)
Now, I find it very useful if used subtly and if CPU consumption were a bit less, I would use more instances within a mix. ..anyway, good purchase for me!

yes me to i like subtle effect with it. At the same time though its very level dependent if you want more compression press the imput a bit more to get more saturation and compression.
