For those interested, U-No-LX is near to be released now. You can hear it in a demo song I created. Everything there is U-No-LX except the drums (HALion Sonic SE). Here it is: TAL U-NO-LX demo

I cannot tell for sure, since I'm not the developer, but I would risk... hope to be just a few more days: http://kunz.corrupt.ch/Teksonik wrote:How near is near? Hours? Days?

New demo up but still no release. Gotta say, I am curious about this. I could tell by that last set of demos that they pretty much got the sound right, just wonder what the cost will be.

Looking forward to this as well. Anything under $25 is (obviously) insta-purchase.
I'd like him to do an update for the SH101 as well! (or well, maybe d16 will beat him to that)

quick demo: presets are way too quiet (except some FMR ones) and very poor quality. The preset browser stops working after a few minutes...demo limitation?
soundwise i'll dig deep later, but im not expecting much from my initial try out.

It's the shadows. Zoom in the image. Tha actual buttons are square, but the 'shadowing' gives an optical illusion of wonky buttons. It does look strange from a distance though.Kriminal wrote:is it me or are those buttons not square? top right looks higher....bit squiffy

Gave away my juno 6 a few years ago, as I didn't have the space for it anymore. I tried the free juno but it didn't really fill the gap. This does, though. Very accurate representation . Very nice sound.

Just purchased and installed this and checking the presets now.
Sounds much better and/or more "analog" than the old U-NO-62 IMO.
Presets are nice too. Based on the limited features of the original synth it's interesting to see how many different sounds are possible. I'm sure i could do some more myself soon...
I'll also try to compare the factory presets with the demo of the real deal here:
http://www.synthmania.com/juno-60.htm
My first impression is they are damn close. Anyway the Strings presets seem to sound better when both Chorus switches are enabled.
Patch sheets are available here:
http://www.retrosound.de/Juno-60Patches.pdf
Looks like the same values are used for the presets in the plugin.
Fernando who made factory sounds for this plugin also made the Juno factory sounds for Diva so i'll also try to compare those.
My first overall impression of the synth is really good and for that price it's a no-brainer IMO.
Anyway in terms of "analog sounds" it does not seem to be a "revolution" in comparison to e.g. Diva, Oxium, Saurus etc. as there seems to be a bit of lack in the "low end" but i could be wrong (this could be tested with Synth Brass presets nicely).
UPDATE:
I found that after a while the presets are disappearing from the menu indeed. Seems to be a bug. I found that this could be easily solved by closing and re-opening the GUI.

I agree with the volume, most presets are a bit too quiet. No problem with the browser in the full version here.Kriminal wrote:quick demo: presets are way too quiet (except some FMR ones) and very poor quality. The preset browser stops working after a few minutes...demo limitation?
