When I look at the list of Maschine 1.8 features that Keir is referring to in the NI forum, the page is dated 2009. Is NI working on some kind of time travel product, or do they just use that internally to help the dev team meet deadlines??Keir @ NI wrote:I'm still here, just lurkingXenobt wrote:A new NI rep said hi here last year and hasn't been heard from since!
With regard to the topic in hand - the future of Maschine is assured. You can have a look at details of the recently announced and forthcoming 1.8 update here: http://www.native-instruments.com/forum ... hp?t=80682

Dang. The time travel product would have been useful.

The current discount finally prompted me to buy Maschine. I've had it for just over a week and I really, really wish I'd bought it years ago. I am finding it so much fun to use, and it's reminded me how much more I enjoy making music when I'm using a hardware controller instead of a computer.
I am a big Maschine fan now.

I've just discovered using it as a REX player. It just keeps getting better.5.1 wrote:I am a big Maschine fan now.

I seem to be able to use DIVA in Multicore mode when loaded into Maschine. Am I correct about that?

Maschine works fine in hosts with multicore support. There's no "multicore bug" as hibidy misleadingly put it. It just doesn't have multicore support in standalone mode yet, which is coming.Uncle E wrote:hehehibidy wrote:If they'd just fix that multicore bug

Great! So when I'm using Maschine in standalone mode and load DIVA with "Multicore" selected, is DIVA actually using multiple cores or is it only using the single core that Maschine is using?bunnywrench wrote:Maschine works fine in hosts with multicore support. It should be using multiple cores still - Diva's multicore processing is independent of what the host is doing.Uncle E wrote:Great! Cool! Thanks! I just tested it and can confirm that it's working great.aMUSEd wrote:It should be using multiple cores still - Diva's multicore processing is independent of what the host is doing.
