yeah, you always have to do that in Reaper when installing new waves plugs.A.M. Gold wrote: The one thing is I have to clear cache/rescan to get Reaper to see through the Waveshell and find the new plug-in, but that may be Reaper's fault.

sonar 8.5 is not recognizing the plugin...
i have installed everything and activated. in sonar plugin manager i see a "waves-shell" thing but, even if i add it to my plugin list, i don't see it when i try to add the FX to the track.
any ideas!?

I would try the same as for reaper - do a reset/clear and then scan again.bosone wrote:sonar 8.5 is not recognizing the plugin...

Is it an effect for mastering or for mixing?
Can I use it when I only have a 5inch monitor? (cutoff at 75, 80 Hz) (I have an Eris E5 pair)

Does it make sense when I use it for frequencies below 80 Hz?

I would use Ren Bass on certain channels of the mix, but use MaxxBass on the main buss (and/or in mastering.)

Around five minutes after I created an account I was using this thing. The downloads were screaming fast here for some reason.
I think it does make sense for lower frequencies than 80hz from looking at the documentation.

Try to remove the WaveShell-VST 9.2.dll from your VSTPLUGIN Folder (Cut it to your desktop), then start your DAW program and close the program again, mow copy the WaveShell-VST 9.2.dll back to you VSTPLUGIN directory and start your DAW. You should see it now, that happen every time I install a new Waves plugin.bosone wrote:sonar 8.5 is not recognizing the plugin...

1) Reinstall Waves and make sure you select the plug.
2) Open Waves' site and login / make a new account.
3) Enter the code they emailed you.
4) Open Waves' app and licence the plug for your pc.
5) Locate waveshell.dll and put it with your other vsts.
6) If your daw cannot open waveshell, drop the waveshell.dll on the app called shell2vst. Your plug will then be extracted and ready to put with your other vsts. http://support.image-line.com/knowledge ... 54&ans=179 Note that no support will be provided by Waves if this method is used.

I wonder how many here signed up for the notification, but didn't go back to the page on BF and sign up for the actual license to be generated?

Probably all of the ones who said they didn't "get" the plugin. I think some assumed that entering their email meant that they'd be sending the plugin as an email attachment?VitaminD wrote:I wonder how many here signed up for the notification, but didn't go back to the page on BF and sign up for the actual license to be generated?
