That's a strong accusation to hurl there... someone hacking KVR. While I myself agree this is unusual given that the FL studio fanbois are asleep in this poll makes me think their are letting this one slip by or they just don't care.

Ugly GUI, yes I agree however it don't get in the way when it comes to actually getting something done(at least my case).

I agree, Studio One is excellent despite the interface. However, as good as Studio One is, it simply has not become as popular as this poll would seem to indicate.

Announcement: I now use Studio One over Fl Studio. So I've changed my vote to Studio One. :D :clown:

I don't see anything wrong with the GUI.

Nobody said it's something wrong, just that it is ugly (not the same thing). Personally, I woul not say it's ugly either, just not the prettiest.

Okay... This should be a good reason to stop polling all together.

DOH what am I saying, I would probably(high likely) complain if they did. :dog:

As un-scientific as it might be, doesn't the poll suggest other things as well?

Suppose one is not surprised by the popularity of Studio One given its features at a very reasonable price, and that it's available for both OSs. Still, the number of Cubase and Live users, taking into account the difference in price, seem rather impressive.

What might be evident, that would not necessarily have been the case sometime back, is that companies making DAWs for both OSs seem to currently have some advantage (even though the poll does not indicate the mix nor asks whether that was a factor in someone's decision).

What ever happened to the Sonar versus Logic wars???

:hihi:

Polls here are never meaningful. You have the choice of the choice of people. And internet people are even a more special choice of the choice.

My opinion as well. In case of doubt I will always favour a DAW that's supported in both platforms over one that's platform specific. Logic and Sonar are both excelent DAWs, and both give awesome value for the money, but in the end, the fight seems to be between Studio One (is it just me that find the name stupid now it is ate version two?). Cubase, Live and Reaper, all of them crossplatform.

And this makes the decision of MOTU to do the same to Digital Performer a wise onem, IMO, even if it doesn't pay right now. In the long run senario, I believe MOTU will win many users for Digital Performer with this move, as long as it provides support for the infancy problems that will arise (and improve the offer of Virtual Instruments - right now, what they offer is a joke when compared with the bigger contenders like Cubase).

Maschine is available on both PC and Mac, and that doesn't seem to be doing a lot for its polling numbers.

(I frankly love it, but as a standalone semi-DAW it's admittedly limited compared to some other choices.)
