You both forgot this important OSC rule: those are commercial so you are not allowed to use them :uhuhuh:

OK - here's my track for this OSC. A nice gentle one to show off what this synth can do. Enjoy.

I did have a lot of REAPER crashes with this synth when creating automation tracks for things like filter cuts etc ... was not very predictable either, which is a shame. Something somewhere just caused a crash. Sad to say, this is the only synth I have had any real problems with in any way. So, lots of saving/autosaves(!!!) and freezing of completed tracks and then offlining the synth.

DAW: Reaper 4.77 rev 61ed3c

21 Instances of Eclipsis

All patches designed by me.

Track FX:
21 * ReaEQ
18 * Classic Compressor
5 * Twin Delay
3 * LFX-1310 (autopan)
3 * FerricTDS
2 * TAL Reverb II

Master:
BootEQMkII
Limiter No. 6

I think i managed to make a decent kick and snare - check out the Kick A-F2 patch and Snare, which is designed to accompany it.
Rhythmic 3 layer patches are the most exciting to make, so i've done a few of those :)
Hope you enjoy :)
Very nice collection you got here. Thank you for sharing and hope to see more in future.

Now that was just downright cool.

Does anybody say cool anymore? LOL

Loved it. Great arrangement!

I give up.... given the warm welcome i have got from the previous OSC, i'd liked to be in here also... but Eclipsis randomly "mute" FLStudio, i have to close and relaunch it. I guess it messes with the audio buffers or something similar.... FL is just muted (while it shows the meters going) no matter what i do.

Also, whatever sound i do there's always a "nasal", "oboe-like" timbre in the background, and in general i don't feel comfortable with the whole object... i spent more time fiddling with it trying to get some noise that i like than composing..... next time it will be better.

Yeah cool man 8)

Just want to say sorry for not hanging round here and making comments after my "one night sin"

Very happy to hear all that stuff from the same century then mine.....

Thanks for all the nice comments and z.prime: yes, it was an abrupt ending, sigh... (havent even realized, was just that :hyper: with first time and rules and evrything....)

I swear I will be back for more time before evrything is over (otherwise my good friend mojo42 will force me to, did I heard something about chains and all that stuff :scared:

Wish you all lots of fun in here,

hope to be back soon, but at the moment....

I was getting the same behaviour with REAPER as well. Also, when I drew automation tracks for filter cutoffs etc (to make the voice sounds work with the rythmns), then randomly it would freeze and crash REAPER. It was more unstable the more simultaneous instances I used. In the end I simply "offlined" (note not "bypass", offline!) all instances except the one I was using to create a patch. Once I had a patch which was close to what I heard in my feeble brain, I brought a couple of tracks back on line to get the articulation right, and further tweaks to the patch. Lots of saves and the odd bit of cursing when it crashed. Once a track was very close, I froze that (without any FX, just raw synth) and offlined the synth again. I then iterated this process working with a few tracks at a time until I had ALL the midi tracks rendered to stems without any FX. Then deleted all the MIDI tracks and routing, but saved the project as a new "audio only" version. The tracks were then populated with the FX, mixed, then master track FX added for that final tweak to the version you hear.

If I need to change anything, I would just go back to the single MIDI track, modify it and re-render to a stem and then import that into the master audio only project.

Phew! It was a pain getting there - but I am quite happy with the result - may tweak it a bit yet - but the core is there.

Hope this helps someone in a small way.

And that is what they call a project. Wow. I'm impressed. Fortunately, I had no crashes, bugs or anything.

Go figure.

Finaly a few minutes offtime :D

@Parduz: That`s really a pity. I also have a couple of little problems, but until now they don`t stop my working process at least. Are you using an ASIO4ALL driver? If "no" check out this please, if "yes" also check out this, if you already have done all what is described here......then I have no idea anymore:

@Tatanka: You forgot "dragging"  I hope you can join us soon :)

What to.... :-o

Oh my god. If I would have had such problems I would have given up for sure, you can believe me. I`m also impressed by your persistence. But it was worth the effort I would say. Your song is one of those which become better and better the more often one listen it. The first time I was confused  , the second time I started to like it :) , the third time I agreed to wagtunes: Cool 8) :tu: Intresting music here in this contest. I hope we will hear a lot of entries in addition.

Cheers Yvonne

No, the "Main Audio Driver". While i know it is not the optimal, i have no hardware attached and so i don't care about latency between hardware/sound generation. Also, it always have been stable and allows to switch between loudspeaker and headphones (which are 2 different "soundcards", the latter being in reality the HDMI output to the monitor) without any intervention.

Eclipsis is the only VST that's caused this problem

Having this in FL too, mostly every time I mess with a FM parameter. The GUI glitches out constantly as well. I'll try it again later though.
