Unless it was a hostile take over i really dont get why apple are being called is evil etc.
They wanted some technology and offered to buy it. Quite frankly if any hostility it should be directed at CamelAudio for saying yes. (Assuming there was no hostile take over).

Must have been a hard decision for Ben.

fork you crApple! seriously if this is true.

So what happens now? The guys from Camel Audio are retiring with the money? And what does Apple do with it now?

It's true.

The link has already posted several times over in the thread here.
My main tools: Kontakt, Omnisphere, Samplemodeling + Audio Modeling. Unify = godsend. Tari's libraries also rock.

I don't want to boast or anything but I was one of the first in the other thread saying it was Apple, I was 100% sure and I'm right. Lot of naysayers in that other thread.
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

If the past teaches us something, Apple will create a development division in Scotland, and all the Camel Audio team will become Apple employees.

I've used all those things in their plugin form, except Padshop Pro. If you think I was saying all synths owned by DAW developers are built-in only, all I can say is you have failed to understand. Have another stab at it sometime.

To the people owning Alchemy: Is it comparable to Steinberg's Halion? Like, would it be an additional argument to buy Logic if they shipped it with it? Maybe they ship Logic with it, and then sell additional sounds for it through their web store.

. Apogee or Apple-G and Avid Protools have released a hardware/software bundle that is Mac/PC .. Duet/PT11 and Quartet/PT11 . I think the interfaces are locked to Protools on the PC side but its a start.

Not on its own, although it does some things that Halion doesn't go anywhere near (spectral and additive), Halion is the better sampler with somewhat more powerful granular features too. But the combo of Alchemy, EXS and Redmatica tech could make for something awesome, if they added some of the physical modelling features of Sculpture too the possibilities are mindblowing. If I was Ben I would have been very excited about what could be accomplished.

Alright. So i guess that's the way they want to go? At least would make sense to me.
