He doesn't. He's just making assumptions. That being said, I have no doubt that there are some who probably will not buy what they download. But I also have no doubt that there are some who will buy what they download.

To assume that all people who pirate things will never buy what they pirate is silly and just shows his blind hate and rage towards them.

So pirates are actually the best clients.
So, someone who downloads your paid for product, labour of love, your creation..... is actually the best customer because they will never, ever pay for that which they have already downloaded?

This is twisty logic at it best/worst.....
And yet, I posted concrete links to coverage of some of those academic studies. You know, actual research done in this field? But guess not, as you clearly have problem with reading comprehension or you just decided conveniently ignore the facts.

So did you actually read any of those articles that discuss actual scientific research in this field? :nutter:

My BS? I don't know what you're talking about. And as robotmonkey said, did you actually read any of those articles that discuss actual scientific research in this field? Probably not. You've obviously already got your mind made up and I'm pretty sure nothing you see or hear will change that, no matter what.

Since when does taking a poll of 1,000 people equate to "scientific research"?

Post

Surely it depends if the limited-sample poll has been conducted in a scientific manner.

The irony is that Future Publishing are the most notorious when it comes to "selling" reviews and things like that. You'd think that since they are so dependent on advertising revenue, that they'd be a bit more careful. Or maybe revenue has dried up so much that they're actually being supported by the pirate groups :hihi:

And if Lennardigital does not have a problem with these "stars" using pirated software, then why do they even care if their licenses are nfr or not. Stuck with this stupid damn sylenth1 license that I can't do sh*t with for more than a year. Despite them announcing they'd release a 64 bit mac version in 2014 (which was already too late), it's still not there. Their customer support is pretty much the worst I've seen, and the guys are even too arrogant to answer simple questions that their customers asked them for years. So yea, support pirates if you want, but let me get rid of my stupid useless license too.

So science approves to theft because it keeps 'em in *charge of things*? Oh wait.. here's anothah poll for you! :hihi:

Science does not approve theft but brings some much needed perspective and actual facts into discussion mostly dominated by propaganda and usual flock of sheep going "piracy baaaaaaaaaad" every time.

And second, it has been proven ten times over by a credible independent academic research into music and film piracy that the people who pirate most also buy most. So pirates are actually the best clients.

Just couple of random links from popular media.
Or in other words the people that pirate the material being researched are the ones that might buy some of it as well.

Or in other, other words, the people that aren't pirating the material being researched also wouldn't be customers in the first place, falsely giving credence to the notion that those that do, are more likely.

Research and data is very usually skewed to prove the point the researcher wants to prove.

75% of academics agree.

Well, at this point it is scientifically proven that people who steal are the most honest....
