Pretty good remix of Das Boot by Schiller, coming into its own around the 5 minute mark

Great to see Underworld in your list, 'Rez' was always pure Trance for me. Der Dritte Raum, also a great pick and of course Binary Finary. 199X will be forever one of my favourite Trance tunes....

Blank & Jones - Cream - 1999

You know there's also this version of that tune:

Kind of a weird not remix remix?

Uh, that's not my cup of tea. I'm not the "everything was better in the past" guy, but this remix is rather too simple for me.... ;)

Great list! Nostalgia kicks in hard.
Here's another one that came up in 2000. I find it better than the original.

Nice topic and thank you for the playlist. The topic made me log in although I don´t want to waste my time here anymore. However.

As it´s pretty difficult to really catch the spirit of an era decades later here are some advices from my side:

As Trance and the city of Frankfurt belong together like my daughters and her mother I´d recommend to follow "Sound of Frankfurt" on youtube.

I´d also say that you have listed some tracks that were not labeled "Trance" back then, but forgot some others that shaped that genre, especially in the clubs. Playlist for example:

The most important source of informations about the centre(s) of the movement are the playlists of the HR3 clubnight of that time (Väth, Dag, Spoon, Felber, FEOS and so on). https://clubnight-net.de/

And you can generally find lots of materials with researches on the most important clubs - the OMEN and the Dorian Gray.

cheers!°°
