Some might like this the V5 includes the rack and all plugins on their own too.

Possibly a smart or not-so-smart move.justin3am wrote:Nice, just upgraded!
They've confirmed upgrade pricing issues that they're working on.

Yes I would wait, I bought mine well within the grace period with the free upgrade offer and my account says I need to pay $130 so something is not right and hopefully they will sort it out.Mushy Mushy wrote:Possibly a smart or not-so-smart move.justin3am wrote:Nice, just upgraded!

I hope that doesn't mean that in a few weeks when I have the cash the price doesn't go way up. Although they deserve it for this the rack looks great and it has what I want. Drag and drop like Slates VMR, per plugin presets and rack presets, solo and off buttons on each plugin, rack grows to accommodate plugins.

Yeah, like I said, I dunno about teh raks. looks nice and so on, but I have re-arrangable FX, per-plugin presets and plugin chain presets right here in Reaper... don't need a fancy additional "thing" for that, especially one that (here's assuming) probably won't let me load 3rd party plugins into it. Just an additional layer of abstraction and distraction.
So all in all, as far as I can tell from here, apart from a tasty upgrade price and the full Primal Tap, there's really not much in it (for me personally).
EDIT:
By the way, they mention "all 18 plugins" are included... but I only count 16 in the list on their website. And that's including the "little" and "full" versions already (which might be considered somewhat cheating as they're the same things with more or less knobs).
What are the 2 plugins I'm missing?

Hey guys - Dan from Soundtoys support here. If you purchased the Native Effects V4 bundle after October 1, 2014, and are NOT seeing a free upgrade option (as advertised) to Soundtoys 5, please do NOT purchase. We are looking into this issue, and will have a fix for it ASAP. In the meantime, you can grab the demo for Soundtoys 5 at Soundtoys.com/demo, which is IDENTICAL to the purchased version. That way you can start using the bundle while you wait for us to fix the upgrade system. I'll post again here once it's all been resolved.

Hey guys - we are noticing that some customers who should be qualifying for free upgrades, due to their purchases of the Native Effects V4 bundle after October 1, 2014, are not seeing the free option in their account.
If you think you should be receiving a free upgrade and are not seeing that option in your account, please do NOT pay for your upgrade. Our web guy is sorting that out as we speak. Hang tight, and I'll post again when it is resolved. Shouldn't take too long!

UPDATE:- Sorted within an hour or so of dan@soundtoys post

Phew, thanks for clearification, I was pretty shocked to see an upgrade fee.dan@soundtoys wrote:Hey guys - Dan from Soundtoys support here. I don't think the discounts apply to me anyway. I've had the Soundtoys HD bundle since before v4.Mushy Mushy wrote:Possibly a smart or not-so-smart move.justin3am wrote:Nice, just upgraded!

$85 upgrade is a good deal as far as I'm concerned. If that price isn't correct... well, I've made more costly mistakes.
