I am sure there's an easy fix for those, just have to debug and see.

Received them. Those files certainly should be ignored by SynthMaster if you place them under "Waveforms" folder because wave files longer than 4096 (or maybe it was 8192) samples can not be imported as single cycle waveforms. But if it's crashing that's certainly a bug.

I've tested with 25000 (yes 25000) Galbanim Architecture waveforms and have had no crashes with those!

I understand. However, those waveforms do work with Synthmaster, just not most of the time. And they are excellent and very useful waveforms that work in every other "wave synth" I've ever worked with (and I own all the biggies...and a few of the smallies).

I've sent you another, custom waveform to try. It works about half the time in Synthmaster.

Please keep in mind, I am a huge fan of Synthmaster. I simply want it to perform consistently, and at this point it's anything but that. All respect intended.
Ha ha suck it!

Actually I amend that: I'm a bigger fan of Synthmaster now than I ever was, thanks to this update. I can't get over how much more presence and punch this synth has.
Ha ha suck it!

Absolutely agree. Synthmaster is much improved. If people have previously demoed and not been impressed or inspired, this release is certainly worth a revisit.

We haven't changed much regarding the analog filter. However, there's a very simple trick to make it sound more analog -> turn on the "pregain" parameter :) Just increase resonance and pregain, and do some filter sweeps, you'll understand what I mean :)

Oh by the way, we still do not use zero delay filters :D

jinotsuh wrote:Ever since upgrading to 2.7, SynthMaster keeps dropping out, both in Reaper and Sonar Platinum (Foxboro-Latest) it will play fine for a couple of minutes and then the sound will just drop out, it doesn't crash or anything, just stops making any sound, I have to load another patch or reload the current one. This is playing back a midi track
If you could email me a test Reaper session I'll test it.
Hi sorry for the time getting back. busy, but I loaded up an older project in Sonar Platinum, looped it and let it play over and over, nothing dropped out. But if I start a new project in either Reaper or Sonar Platinum, and just put in a very basic midi track, or even just play a very basic riff live with my midi keyboard, the sound will drop out after a couple of minutes.

I am no keyboard player so it is VERY basic. If I created a small midi track with say one of the arpeggiated presets, BT italo 2013 bass addon (any patch/preset will do it), one note per bar and loop it, the sound will eventually drop out, but as I said if I load a previous project with several instances of SynthMaster and loop it to play continuously it doesn't drop out. I will do some more investigating today, and I can send you a Reaper file, but it would just be something like a 4 bar pattern containing 4 to 6 notes looped, because that's all it needs to be for it to drop out on me, actually it doesn't even need that, just inserting SynthMaster and playing a few notes on my midi keyboard for a few minutes and the sound will drop out.

I also just done a little test in Cantabile 2(vst host), just loaded SynthMaster, selected a preset, played a couple of notes with my midi keyboard to make sure everything was working, went away, came back 5 minutes latter and no sound when playing any notes. this is also repeatable within Reaper and Sonar Platinum, just insert SynthMaster, play a couple of notes to ensure it is working, come back 5 minutes later and no sound is being output. I have tried to illuminate other possible issues by doing the same things with my other Synths, but they work as expected, I have tried uh-e Hive, Serum, Waves Codex, Waves Element, Carbon Electra, Rapture, Z3TA +2, Dimension Pro, Rapture Pro and Omnisphere 2. The issue wasn't present pre 2.7

Any ideas/help would be appreciated.

If it was a common issue we'd already get many issue records on our bug database, so I am suspecting that this issue is specific to your system, not an issue with SynthMaster 2.7. So, that's why I am still requesting a test session in Reaper. I always use Reaper in my tests but I have not been able to reproduce an issue as you describe.

what it your audio interface? Are you using ASIO? what's the hardware buffer size ?

Is the global engine quality set to draft or something else?

Have you tried with higher buffer sizes like 256 ?

Where do I send Reaper Project file, Email ?

Bumped buffer up to 512, same thing, 1024 same thing, although the dropouts occur much quicker 30 to 60 seconds
