I am looking forward to a new edition of Stylus RMX too. I have no issues with my NFR S/H edition remaining NFR - I am delighted to enjoy such an excellent piece of kit which otherwise I simply could not have afforded .

It seems a shame not to be eligible to price-breaks on expansion libraries which I understand are periodically available to new owners . Some consolation is, as pointed out, compatible third party or home cooked loops can be incorporated using the wondrous Recycle tool.

Hi James.

I own Omnisphere and I am amazed about the sampling quality that Spectrasonics made. I saw many videos and also read about how Spectrasonics did it, like burning a piano in a backyard, etc

So my question is if Spectrasonic ever considered to make more traditional sampling for Omnisphere, such as a Grand Piano, some brass or and / or wind instruments and others?

Interesting... that would only work for user and third party I guess, but it might at the very least be a way to sort out, say, Plugin Guru's naming.

Hi James,

I have a couple of small requests/improvements. They deal with the library organisation but these things would help
me choose the right flavours for my patches:

1. Patch browser: an extra sorting option that only shows Omni 1 patches. Having Atmosphere patches in that menu is really helpful.

2. Soundsource browser: I would like the same organisation as in the patch browser - Atmosphere, Omni 1, Omni 2, EDM

...which is EXACTLY what I did. I can't fathom that guy's naming reasons.

Both already exist - select "Version" as a column in either the patch or soundsource browser, and then Omni 1.

What's left now is a way to see the Atmosphere soundsources only in the soundsource browser.

All I ask is to be able to drag rendered audio to my DAW. I know of no other way to use this thing to create other than rendering one measure at a time in my DAW and then copying and dragging those around to arrange a song. That is a long, tedious process that I'm no longer willing to endure. Setting up a separate instance for each drum set seems silly as well. I'd rather find soundsets/grooves across my library in a creative frenzy and just drag them into my project without rendering them each separately before I can change to a new soundset. I concede that I gave up and wrote it off to experience a long time ago. Love, love, love Omni2 and Trilian. Hopeful that useful life will be breathed into Stylus RMX.

Does it really cost Spec $30 to provide me with downloads for my 3 programs? I guess I'll continue installing from the CDs. I find the software really good, but the company policies arrogant. I've spent $1,300 on their software. That insistence on getting another $30 from me for downloads feels disrespectful, greedy and...alienating.

a little request. I know you can select specific libraries to search through in Omni, but is there a way to completely remove one? I ask because for my needs the EDM stuff can just go away, I have not found a single sound in that whole library that would ever find it's way into any of my music.

I really love Omni2 and it has many great inspirational sounds, but having to dodge through all of the EDM chaff, it's just slowing me down. If there's a way to edit some XML to remove it, that would be great. I would imagine if you can add libraries and only search on others, removing should be an option as well.

I was wondering the same thing just the other day. The EDM library is truly horrible. I'd like to remove it as well.

EDM for one. I would also remove Trillian libraries, for not showing up in the Omni browser. Some of the patches there are real heavy and single mistaken click in the browser might waste several tens of seconds.
I specifically use Trillian when I want to use the Trillian libraries. This option would be greatly appreciated.

(and hopefully it might help reducing the still-slower-than-before start up time)

Although I disagree about the EDM patches all being "truly horrible" (ridiculous sweeping statement, imo), a better library management tool would be useful. What we really need is for the libraries to be treated like the rest of the different columns for the tags, so you can multiple click whichever libraries you want to search in, or exclude, rather than just 1 or All which is getting to be a rather blunt instrument. I made this request many months ago, not heard anything though.

Content delivery network companies that provide the bandwidth to deliver the software libraries can charge up to $0.30 per gigabyte. For large libraries like Spectrasonics provides, yes, it could cost them $30 dollars.
