Getting some fine results here with the new smearing feature. It is still different than the previously mentioned freezers but it's possible to get many different sounds and textures because of the different parameters like blur, length and Smearing amount.
It's interesting that you can make artificial reverbs using smearing and the reverb tail will transpose directly with pitch changes — like the reverbs in NI Razor.

I might be blind or ignorant (or better, both!) but where is the Freeze knob/parameter in the Edit mode? When opening the freeze preset, there’s a big ‘freeze’ button right in front, but in Edit mode I can’t find it.
Any tips please?

Just increase the “Smearing“ value in combination with the new sliders for “Length/Blur“.Neon Breath wrote:I might be blind or ignorant (or better, both!) but where is the Freeze knob/parameter in the Edit mode? It's a Multiparameter set to switch, so see what it does there.
I didn't see that preset before. Smart with the button and the crossfade which is set to switchtime.

I just made another video with spectral smearing/freezing:
Processing electric guitar flageolets with MTransform inside MXXXCore, also combining it with a rotary effect. Tweaking the installed Macros for pitch shifting, transformation shapes, formant modulation, smearing amount/time on the fly.

@Melda, Mtransformer is awesome!! But...the Spectral Freeze sounds nothing like a spectral freeze function. At certain settings is sounds more like a bad delay effect. Im sorry but its simply not good enough and should not be passed off as spectral freeze:/

I wouldn't quite put it like that but I tend to agree. There's a metallic ringing to it and it's still there even at highest blur setting. Maybe overlapping is missing, I don't know. I was just thinking that it is different than other spectral freezers but they do sound much more smooth and clear. Maybe I'll make some more examples.

Well, its an awesome plug, but I would be lying if I didn't say that im very dissapointed about the freeze. If it acted and sounded like actual spectral freezing this plug would be the ultimate go-to spectral toolbox.
