$139.99 total.

Still a bit more than I prefer to spend on upgrades, but within reason.

As for buying repeated sounds, I prefer to view it as the 45Gb NEW material and now have some of the old content in a new, and one, interface.

I do have to agree with some others though that the demos are less than stellar for the amount and calibre of web content created.

I think IKM could do a better job with their demos. It may entice more sales

So, this is my last to post in this thread. Another IKM thread destined to go where they go it seems.

Its not just a simple cosmetic upgrade with few samples added. I wouldnt even count MP2 as an upgrade, its actually a new product, it just shares a name of previous product.

And at this point the price for basicly a new product 139 usd is just a steal. I really dont see for anyone to complain about upgrade prices.

If one cannot consider it an "upgrade" then why does IKM list it so?

For those that do not own MP1 then yes, it is a "New" product. But then that's not the price of the "New" product for those people is it?

Its being listed so the folks like you would be able to get it cheaper, a kindness tho im sure if it wouldnt be listed as upgrade but crossgrade for 199, IK still would be slacked "hey why no upgrade for existing mp1 users". I suppose complaining is just a nature

You can actually get an even better deal. Instead of buying Miro 2 directly, buy 200 credits priced at $159.99 using JamPoints. If you have enough of those you can bring the price down to $111.99. Then simply buy Miro in the Custom Shop. And that Is a no-brainer indeed. At least to me.

This was my idea as well. I did something similar on the AT4 pre order. There was a gearpoints sale, so for about $100, I managed to get AT4 plus a dozen ST3 instruments from the group buy. This time around, even though there's no gearpoints sale, there is still a discount for bigger gear packs. So cash in a bunch of jampoints, drive the actual cost of the upgrade close to $100, and use the remainder for future products.

Hi Peter, thank you for your reply. Oh, it's a shame. I wanted IK to overhaul the library even if it made MP2 a bit more expensive. I don't think one guy's request moves IK but I hope IK team makes an expansion percussion(Timpani, Cymbal, Harp or Marimba) library for MP2/ST3 someday.
I'd love to buy it.

Correct me if I'm wrong but Percussions are not renewed on Miroslav 2? I can't find that kind of description on IK website. Still I really like Miroslav's strings, brasses or woodwinds but I feel, comparing to other modern libraries, Miro's weak point is percussion such as timpani, cymbal or harp. It's too early to request before the release of Miro 2 but I hope IK to release new percussion libraries for Miro 2 down the road. I think percussions most get benefit from round-robin.
Yes, I can look for them in powered-by Kontakt libraries but hopefully I'd like something recorded in the same place.

Dang? Just a suggestion, for an update extending the percussion library is a great idea. My personal guess is that most people are like me in that they start out with a simple full orchestra library like GPO or Komplete, then get a dedicated string library, then Brass, then maybe woodwinds or percussion.

I have random percussion libraries in kontakt form, but no dedicated orchestral library besides GPO. = 1 tympani for instance. I'm probably still going to upgrade this for the woodwinds and the old percussion libraries, but just a suggestion.

One question: is there any Divisi feature coming with the new library?

In my view this feature is essential in any up to date orchester library.
Mixing several smaller strings ensembles for divisi is quite a lot of unnecessary work and often does not achieve the wanted sound.
I do hope this feature will find its way in Miroslav Philharmonik 2.

Anyway, it would be interesting to know if those "new recordings" are leftovers from the past or really Miro was resurrected again for new recording sessions? I hardly believe the 2nd. Nowdays with all the social media etc. a few videos about the recording sessions and detailed background info's are essential.

I believe it has been said somewhere in the 'blurbs' that it was a new recording session/sessions, involving the 'man' himself, and was said something like 'it wouldn't have happened if he did not participate' something along those lines. (of course my memory could be failing me, but . . .)

So the new MP2 contains all the original content as well as the new ? This makes me interested, as I never jumped on the original, almost did during the recent sale, but had other priorities. May have to jump on this though and take advantage of the lower price.
