Basically, P900 uses standard AU presets plus 128 MIDI programs. You can name the AU presets but not the MIDI programs, though both can have patch notes. The factory presets are stored as MIDI programs. You can overwrite them using the "store" button on the MIDI/CV Converter module, which also responds to MIDI program changes.

And yes, there is currently no MIDI sync for the LFO.

What's the compatibility with live? I think I have version 8 on Mac... Would love to give this a try

The issue with knobs some are seeing is due to a bug in the OS X graphics API I'm using on 10.10 (Yosemite). This issue is not there on 10.9 or 10.11. It's in Apple's domain so it may take a while to figure out a work around, unfortunately.

Regarding Ableton Live:
I've heard from several users that use P900 in Live but I don't know about a specific version compatibility. Give it a try. You can get an installer image from here: http://www.pulsarmodular.com/news/

any tips for getting it installed? I downloaded the installer and it doesn't show up in Live and I can't find a trace of it on my Mac at all other than the DMG I downloaded.

Presumably you opened the dmg and ran the installer. It installs to:
/Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/P900.component

I verified that it shows up runs fine in Live 9.

I made it through the install and the plug in folder is the first place I checked. I'm running Live 8.4.2 and osx 10.10.5.

Do you know of any issues with either if those versions?

I feel the same way about P900. Up there with Monark for me, better than Diva too. More people need to hear this, its very special.

Ive had all versions of P900 working in Ableton 9.6.1.

Sorry I can't find the discussion on vst version a few pages ago. I would love VST version as I never use my AU plugins and I always forget to look through them (I have all my synths in my VST 'synth' folder ready to go).

I'm running 8 & id say that was the issue, but it doesn't even show up in my Mac. I just upgraded to Capitan and nothing still.

I also downloaded 2 xfer plugins at the same time and no issue... Ugh.

Help?

It sounds like a Live 8 specific issue, or do you also have problem loading it in other DAWs? If you don't have any, could try it out in the free Hosting AU: http://ju-x.com/Hosting%20AU.html
