It could be that you're editing the 32 bit resources while using the 64 bit version, or vice versa. The plugin definitely doesn't cache anything, so if it can't find the resources, it would display an error message. Try changing the Cobalt.ini file in both the Cobalt 64bit folder and the Cobalt 32bit folder.GaryG wrote:...I can't get the skin to change. I've followed the readme instructions but can't get Cobalt to display anything other than the default small skin. I even deleted the resource folder for a giggle and it still displays indicating it's not looking there for it's images???
Welcome back Cobalt.

Can y'all try this version?

I'm embarrassed to say that I found a memory leak.
It's fixed in this version.

Sure I'll try it right now. Can I just drop the new .dll in the folder or do I need to replace everything ? Thanks.
EDIT: I just dropped the new .dll in and everything seems to be working perfectly (64 bit version).

I urge everybody to try the wonderful Sanford Reverb with Cobalt. The two make a fantastic combination.

Brilliant, GUI refresh is faster than the eye can see
Any thoughts on this :

Second, a question : why is there so much tonal and volume difference between the poly and the mono mode ?
F.I. load preset "Slap Bass" , play a little, then turn it to mono mode... sounds like a completely different beast![]()
Here is an example : First part poly, second (same patch but) mono :

Especially the end is very different ( All notes are the same velocity).

I'm able to recreate the problem. I've noticed that it's present on any patch that uses mono mode. I created a simple patch with env velocity sensitivity set to zero, filter open all the way, etc., and still experienced the problem.Yeager wrote:Any thoughts on this :
What I've noticed is that the synth gets louder in mono mode on subsequent notes. If you play a note in poly mode, then switch to mono mode, play the same note; it's the same loudness. But leave it in mono mode and go up the keyboard, and it gets louder. I think that's the clue. At this point, I don't have any idea of what could be causing it. I'll dig deeper.

Thanks but I've found the problem, PEBKAC, I had an older version of Cobalt in my VST folder that I'd forgotten about... Reaper only shows the old version so confused me.Leslie Sanford wrote:It could be that you're editing the 32 bit resources while using the 64 bit version, or vice versa. I'm hoping the silence by ENV1 the last day or so means he's hard at work on a new gui possibly a wide version. I'm a huge fan of his work. Here's what he did for PG-8X:
