SynthTech is sending me a beta E370 Quad Morphing VCO to keep (I was the first beta tester on it, last beta tester on the E352 and they liked my copious amounts of feedback and arguing for certain fixes/features). It's a 54HP, $800+ module (that was the Kickstarter price and it's going up a bit for retail) that I don't have space for in my rack.
So I got myself a Mantis case to put it in. Which means I'm screwed. I can't use a full rack as an excuse not to buy stuff anymore
I've got the three Bastl modules from the auction, a Circuit Abbey Intermix and a Ladik burst generator on the way.
I'm kinda thinking about how I can set myself up for polyphony with the E370 -- I'll need more MIDI-CV, at least quad envelopes (preferably 8x), and quad VCA or LPG. Naturally I just sold a quad LPG a week ago
Even with the VCOs taken care of, it'd probably be cheaper to just get a polysynth.

Same here but there are always upgrades to new versions of DAWs and plugins - that's the hardest part for me to resist (now I'm already behind with: Rob Papen reverb, Elephant, Marquis, Saurus, RealGuitar, Loom, and soon it will be SubBoomBass and others when their new versions come with offers for existing users). Even keeping up with new versions of things you already have costs a lot of money.ATS wrote:it's getting to the point where there is not much left for me to buy.
I have to improve my self control or pick up a new, less expensive hobby...

I'm going to buy Vienna Ensemble Pro before my demo runs out, EVEN IF I HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE AND I NEVER PAY FULL PRICE! I have no idea why I didn't demo this before. Running the server on my hex core i7, six instances of Diva in divine mode and one instance of Bazille all running heavy patches were barely pushing 40% while across the room on my quad core i7 mac mini Reaper was coasting along at less than 2% and there wasn't a pop, crackle, or glitch to be had and I'll be damned if I noticed any significant latency. It was far more playable than any other audio/midi over network solution that I've ever tried.

I had that ''problem'' for a while. The solution is to sell some stuff and then purchase it again.ATS wrote:it's getting to the point where there is not much left for me to buy.
This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

Ah, I misread this thread's title - this one is for those who want to go bankrupt...szurcio wrote:Same here but there are always upgrades to new versions of DAWs and plugins - that's the hardest part for me to resist (now I'm already behind with: Rob Papen reverb, Elephant, Marquis, Saurus, RealGuitar, Loom, and soon it will be SubBoomBass and others when their new versions come with offers for existing users). I've been lusting after Plugin Alliance's Black Box HG-1 plugin since they announced it, but at $249, I just couldn't pull the trigger. But... between the sale they're having now and my monthly voucher, it dropped the price to $74. At that price, I couldn't resist.

Already got my AIEP Complete, so no specific target this Black Friday/Christmas. Maybe some Waves if anything good comes on sale later.

I stumbled across a Roli Seaboard Rise 49! I hate when that happens
New up is the full Bitwig Studio 2
The 8-track version is included in the Seaboard bundle.
Wonder if they're gonna do a black friday deal on Bitwig?

Sooo, after being stranded in this foreign land for more than 6 months, I finally got a band to play with.
Which means I need a new multi-fx soon. Thinking of Boss GT-100.

Make Noise Pressure Points (x2) and Brains are on their way. Who needs MPE when you can mash your squishy flesh onto this?

I was originally just going to try one PP to see how I liked it as a controller, but someone was selling all three for a good price.
