I get that this pithy comment is meant to be an amusing metaphor or whatever, but...

Are you suggesting, then, that ProTools, Ableton, Logic, etc are to Music Production as a Chainsaw is to Medical Surgery?

Because if you actually believe that........

As part of the Apple Kollektiv, I can solemnly swear that Logic Pro X does NOT suck. That and an RME Fireface 802, and I'm good to rock n' roll, baby. :P

Wogic pwoh!

Remember that guy? And then when he switched to protools you'd walk into guitar center and there would be 4 computers all with him on there but at different times?

Maybe I'm the only one who thought it was funny.

all DAWs pretty much suck. i tolerate REAPER's flaws because other DAWs' flaws are even worse.
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Are you talking about the Australian deaf OCD who swore Reason was the best, after his love affair with Logic but then finally decided ProTools was his one and only and spent all his waking hours looking for bugs in every audio app known to mankind

I used to wonder if he'd ever go full circle when he ran out of DAWs, hes probably back on Reason again now it hosts VSTs

Post

Does that guy ever post here anymore ?

Dunno, still feel like I suck more than my DAW :D
I never make mistakes; I just blame others.

Ableton Live 9 is the suckiest DAW there is.

It has enormous suckage.

It will suck the capacitors in your PC dry.

It will suck all the inspiration out of your brain.

It needs to be removed from your PC before it sucks any more stuff.

I am an expert at making sure that it will not cause any more sucking than it has already sucked.

When it has been carefully removed then pm me and send me the license and I will make sure that it is carefully disposed of. :scared:

I like my different ones for different things.I use cubase,FL studio,Ableton and a little of presonus studio.I enjoy playing around in them all.I think there all awesome considering what they do.

The real issue is real-time performance, which even the most suped-up power machine may not perform well. I don't know. Yes, I'm sick of latency and before I do audio it's midi to soft instruments. It's not the DAW if all of them frustrate you via the latency and performance.

there was a thread here a couple years ago, I think it was, regarding real-time performance vs, well the expectation of performance because of the specs of your machine(s).

+1
My Opinion exactly. Every DAW has their advantages and disadvantages.
