Sure, but it's going to feel completely different having a mousewheel sticky than dragging the slider, mousewheels tend to move the numbers far more incrementally and linear, so what you're asking for is for the wheel to stop working for a few clicks when it gets close to the value.
Can you show me a control on any plugin that does this?

Doesn’t it make more sense that when you hold alt and move the mousewheel one click the value jumps to the next nearest hardware value ?Krzysztof Oktalski wrote:Sure, but it's going to feel completely different having a mousewheel sticky than dragging the slider, mousewheels tend to move the numbers far more incrementally and linear, so what you're asking for is for the wheel to stop working for a few clicks when it gets close to the value.

That’s how I’d expect it to behave.

Sorry Krysztof I can't show you any plugin that do this. But also this is the first plugin that offers the idea of having continuous parameter change and also with a modifier (alt) move this parameter discretely according to the original hardware.Krzysztof Oktalski wrote:Sure, but it's going to feel completely different having a mousewheel sticky than dragging the slider, mousewheels tend to move the numbers far more incrementally and linear, so what you're asking for is for the wheel to stop working for a few clicks when it gets close to the value.

Maybe I'm not expressing myself correctly but as another user posted my personal expected behavior is that when pressing alt + mouse scrolling the plugin would respond the same as with alt + clicking and dragging. Oh and also the automatic side chain filter to respond to mouse wheel please!

I wasn't following what you were saying before but now I get it:pabloaldunate wrote:Sorry Krysztof I can't show you any plugin that do this. 1. Mousewheel scroll = scroll through value (no change to current behavior)
2. Alt + Mousewheel scoll = move to next highest or lowest step (only on stepped parameters)

Tiny feature request: it would be nice if there was a link to the manual somewhere in the plugin interface. Even if buried within the about box. I really appreciate any plugin that will just allow me to quickly pop open the manual. Especially for something like this where I might wonder how the different curves work, or what Q-Bias does, or the Brightness and Response controls, etc.
I'd also like a Limitless-style resizable UI or just a slightly larger version of this GUI.

Exactly, thats way more clear! ThanksFunkybot's Evil Twin wrote: I wasn't following what you were saying before but now I get it:

And also Mousewheel Scroll engages the automatic filter (only when Autolisten is On).

Thanks everyone for clarifying, I've got what you're saying. We'll discuss it and see what we can do.

Ok thats great!Krzysztof Oktalski wrote:Thanks everyone for clarifying, I've got what you're saying. We'll discuss it and see what we can do.
On Mac VST2 and VST3 side chain EQ mode ON acts as Auto mode (only hearing the filtered signal when adjusting cutoff).

The volume difference when switching models/ratios can be very intense, maybe that can be improved. (resetting autogain?)
Also, the dry signal is affected by the makeup gain. Therefore mixing in more dry signal can cause the overall signal to become much louder.
Lastly, the HP filter preview defeats output attenuation, so it can also suddenly be way louder.
Here's two examples with Autogain set to Makeup:
#1:
With a high threshold, switching from any model to 2A causes a loud burst in volume.
#2:
DMG is set to a low ratio (1:00.1) and 76D is set to All-In. Switching from 76D to any other model then produces a loud burst because of the difference in volume.
These were tested with 1.01.
I'm a bit hesitant to experiment with TrackComp as the volume bursts are very jarring for me.

+1 Don't like how Autogain is implemented. It's either too slow to react, or requires me to move a control to re-adjust. It also switches off when fiddling with controls - have to manually switch it on - again and again.

As much as I love their products it seems like we all are beta testing.HcDoom wrote:Is this plugin really so buggy as everyone writes or these are just isolated cases?

Are there a lot actual bug reports or just design decisions that people are questioning or looking to see improved upon? Ok, the 76D bug from the original 1.0 release was pretty big, but it seems like a lot of the other topics being discucssed (how auto-gain works, aggresive Q-bias, mousewheel, etc.) fall outside of the bug category.HcDoom wrote:Is this plugin really so buggy as everyone writes or these are just isolated cases?

The volume burst when switching settings just isn't anything I have experienced before with other plugins.Funkybot's Evil Twin wrote:Are there a lot actual bug reports or just design decisions that people are questioning or looking to see improved upon?
During my testing it clipped on my master bus, so the volume jumps would be even louder if I had worked with more headroom. I just don't wanna get my ears blown out.
