Updated my presets collection. I think there are 112 now - varying types, varying quality!

I agree Taron - I will definitely take a step back and think about something to do that leverages the possibilities. Everything can modulate everything and the presets already cover so much.
Drums will be fun I suppose.

By sharing your presets, you are already helping out OSC community. Thanks a lot for it.cb8rwh wrote:Updated my presets collection. I think there are 112 now - varying types, varying quality!

Can I request something? Can you make a single zip file so that it can be downloaded in a single click? It is OK without it too though. Just it makes the process easy for lazy like me.

I can make a zip, but the Google Drive page, that the link goes to, has a 'Download All' button which zips them up for you.

Oh sorry, I was using the link on mobile browser. It was not showing that "Download All" button.cb8rwh wrote:I can make a zip, but the Google Drive page, that the link goes to, has a 'Download All' button which zips them up for you.
But got it from desktop version of the link.
Thanks for help.

Angriff!!! Again!?
Probably again, yes
I 've tried to reuse some of my prepared material for the zebralette competition in OSC #104 (https://soundcloud.com/p-e-t-e-r-h/osc- ... kas-attack)
It's a sample with the german words "Angriff!" ("Attack!" in englisch). Guess what, I loaded the samples I've prepared for the 16 slots in zebralette into Thorn and applied exactly the same technique as with zebralette...The env thing you know...And played at the right pitch/key (some lower C and below, don't use to high keys) the word is almost recognizable. He He He....I see "Stukas Part 2 - the Revenge of the Spitfires" coming
Have fun

I took some time to fiddle around...Here's 3 Basedrum Patches (actually I would have added a imprved version of the first bdr I have posted earlier, but there's only limited number of attachments allowed)
They all come with a pitched/sine body. That being said, you can use them to play unisono with your bass line, which is a technique to keep your bass clean and which is often used in the more aggresive styles of trance/technos. Also you have to find the key range where they work well...
Some final words to your speakers: Please start with a low volume before you try them out

I'm annoyed at these envelopes.
Why can't synths just give us nice clear envelopes like this: http://rugoso.com/seekbeats/
It's always a pain to figure out the quirks especially stuck in these knobbish skeumorphic implementations. Grrr. I mean, yes, they're fine for getting a synthy sound, but I feel hampered otherwise.
I can't setup a smooth 3 octave drop or raise of pitch with an envelope as an example. Why not?!? This is a top notch synth implementation obviously and I still feel somewhat constricted!

yeah the envelopes aren't the highlight unfortunately.
they're not hideous, but they're just ok. would be nice to be able to adjust the slope at least.
when i'm back at my machine i'll test the pitch depth of the envelopes @ 100% mod myself...
there's always plenty of of other modulation options to workaround though, generally.
from memory though, making a kick drum i didn't need much depth in the mod matrix to get a nice snappy kick.
i would think there's a fair few octaves worth of range. I'll get back to you on that.

just in case - the OSC "pitch" parameter is only available thru mod matrix. It's not on the OSC GUI.
I applied my pitch envelope to semi tones parameter first, but that results a stepwise modulation
You might want to check out my basedrum patches. I heavily made use of pitch modulation
Have fun...
And by the way...next preset in attachment. Give this pad some time to evolve.

Oh weird, not sure I understand the difference between semitones and pitch philosophically, but the pitch curve available seems to be more extreme. Thanks!

Only a couple minutes into this thing and it seem's to fill a creative void between Spire and Serum for me. Wow, what a well laid out scheme....and on sale....hear comes the GAS.....Honey? lol
Just a touch of EQ and a tickle of compression
