Just demoing. Mind...Blown!
Loving the way they approach things from way out-there, like with Obscurium.
But this thing is begging for a bigger gui. The whole Orbit section feels too cramped.

Aparillo is not Versatile enough?
It's Capable of taking the role of -
1 - Basic Synths - You have 2 Osc, Filters, Envelopes, LFO's, Arp's, Fx....Make any Basic Synth Sound from Bass, Pluck, Pads, Keys, anything.....if you can't find a convincing Bass or Pluck in the Presets, What's stopping you from Creating em?
2 - FM Synths - FM style Bells, Bass, Real Life Sound and more which would take a Good amount of Time and Expertise on FM8 and other FM Synth can be achieved here within seconds because of the 9 Intelligent Routed Algorithms.....Result is easy twiddling to get way bigger sound with just 2 Operators for Epic FM Sounds....
3 - Evolving Texture Synths - You have Orb which is first of it's kind, Endless Sound Creations and Fun times with the Movements, The Randomisations and more....
4 - Organic Synths - Suggest me other Synth that has this feature - the most Brilliant feature IMO...all your Voices can have Independent Parameter Values......Play a 4 note Chord Sound - and each of the 4 notes can have different ADSR Value, different Cutoff Value, different FM Amount and more - and all these values can be masterfully controlled by the ARP.....How Cool Organic Chord Sound that is going to be - Nowhere else......even when playing Mono Keys, you can play different timbres with each hit like a Round Robin.....
I agree it may not have that Raw, Crisp Quality when playing it Solo.....but Try it in actual Music Production as an Organic Element Injection.....you don't want some hard hitting Raw Crisp Synth that you really liked while demoing it as a solo Instrument and then try inserting in Production and then it overpowers all other Sounds, has that in your face sound and doesn't blend well.....

And this release has made me return to the rather obese Obscurium, which I had kind of given up on. After rewatching the Tom Cosm video - which packs in a mile a minute, I've since made some pretty nice tracks for my ears. Not to derail this thread...so, carry on. (Tip to myself for a default patch: Drag everything down to the bottom to start with - and slide the amp envelope all the way down to midi, so as to cease with the incessant tapping and get a smooth tone to then manipulate...)el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:Loving the way they approach things from way out-there, like with Obscurium.

That one section reminds me a lot of the 'Sound Maps' Arturia had in their synths prior to the UI change. These 'Maps' basically allowed you to morph between 4 different sounds in 2 different ways. You could either click in the 'Map' to select and morph between the 4 presets closest together or make 4 'Snaps' which could then be morphed in the 'Compass'.
This wasnt a bad feature at all, i wonder why they ditched it.

I'm just about to demo for the second time. I loved just preset-surfing last time, but this time I might try to learn it.Bodhisan wrote:And this release has made me return to the rather obese Obscurium, which I had kind of given up on.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:Loving the way they approach things from way out-there, like with Obscurium.
Quite amazing that both of these gems come in at 99 euros

The first audio in the 'Synth' section on https://sugar-bytes.de/aparillo sounds cool, someone managed to tame that beast and make it sound musical
It sounds dizzying, how many instances did that take? Hard to say which sounds come from one instance...

Yes It may be easier to take the atonal-sound-FX-road with this one but when "tamed" it can beacome a very lively and musical instrument
What a incredibly inspirationnal tool (I may be biased though

No, you're not biased. You're dead on the money. This thing is my synth of the year.Totolitoto wrote:That may be mefluffy_little_something wrote:The first audio in the 'Synth' section on https://sugar-bytes.de/aparillo sounds cool, someone managed to tame that beast and make it sound musical

How long did it take you to master it? It has just been released, were you on the beta test team?Totolitoto wrote:That may be me![]()

IIt's not that complicate when you get the most tricky parts (the arp is the part that needs some reverse engeneering of existing presets IMO)
[EDIT] Oh and the "dizzying" feeling is due to Aparillo's architecture and sound, not so much instances in each part (max 10 I would say)

It actually isn't that hard once you figure out all the controls.fluffy_little_something wrote:How long did it take you to master it? It has just been released, were you on the beta test team?Totolitoto wrote:That may be me![]()
