I'm in the process of creating a user patch map for Biotek 2 in Akai VIP.
I have to import one preset at a time into VIP, and then add/correct tags that the VIP auto-tagging got wrong.
But in the process of thoroughly auditioning the Biotek 2 preset library, I am really becoming more aware of the rich diversity of sounds that this synth can create. It is quite unique!

Ya, the presets are great. What I've created with it so far, not so much, but I put it aside too soon and will get back to it.
Doing nothing is only fun when you have something you are supposed to do.

Please reply...
When will be a actually user friendly drag and drop sample import be available as a hopefully free update? Cause it should be there at first place. And how long will this matter be ignored?
I wrote here some time ago. I contacted support and I asked under the BIOTEK YT channel... no response at all. What's wrong with you guys?

This thread was started by a user, and as far as I can tell, has never been monitored by the Tracktion devs.nichttuntun wrote: Thu Aug 15, 2019 6:46 am Please reply...

Tracktion has a summer -50% sale, which includes Biotek2 (at $99.50 incl. discount).
Anyone know if Biotek2 that's included in Waveform 10 Standard ($129 incl. discount) is a VST that I can also use in other DAWs? I might get another DAW for $29 if that's the case

It appears that Biotek 2 is bundled with W10 Standard, but not W10 Basic: https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform
Biotek 2 is a VST, so I would assume that is is unlocked for use with any DAW. The version that I bought is.

I didn't say it was in Basic bundle. And I get the Biotek2 you have was bought separately, which of course would be a VST.zzz00m wrote: Sun Aug 25, 2019 3:26 am It appears that Biotek 2 is bundled with W10 Standard, but not W10 Basic: https://www.tracktion.com/products/waveform

I didn't say you did. I was just making a point clear for anybody reading the thread that Biotek 2 was bundled in the Standard Pack.
In the past when Tracktion included a "premium" instrument in a bundle it has been a VST. I bought a Waveform bundle that included Biotek 1, and that was a VST. Then I bought a standalone upgrade to Biotek 2. In general, any plugins that are sold individually get bundled as a VST, when you buy the bundle.
But if an instrument is included within the base Waveform program, such as Multi-Sampler, those are typically locked to the program.

Biotek 2 is on sale for 23 dollars @ audiodeluxe
With all its layering capabilities it reminds me of Rapid. Workflow isn´t bad at all once understood.

Plugin Boutique has Biotek 2 with an expansion for $25. NI’s Monark can be added for free also.
