my 2 cents, double click text inputs are frustrating, double click resets should be standard

I'll settle for Alt+Click for text inputs. I'm not picky.

I feel like most plugins with a text input use double-click and it's become kind of a de-facto standard. Whereas Shift+click to fine tune is pretty normal. And Ctrl+click and Alt+click are usually the ones to reset.

But I'll take what I can get.

yeah i don't really care in the end, i just wish it was a bit more uniform, but every dev seems to do something different. I just know that many plugins reset controls upon double click so i get used to it, then something like Melda or Cytomic the double click opens the text box. I think the pro-tools camp is accustomed to alt-click? maybe we should start a click standard, called CLICK, we can piggy back on CLAP and get the ball rolling

I once started a "Plugin Development Best Practices" thread (something like that) in the DSP forum, trying to highlight things like that I consider best practices in the hopes that developers could go "ok, agree with that, yeah, that's a good idea, I can do that a little differently...oh, I didn't think of that". Went nowhere of course. But yeah, I wish developers would look at little things like that and try to adhere to established standards and best practices wherever possible. It would be nice if I wasn't regularly resetting params when I wanted text entry, or getting pissed that there's no Shift+Drag fine control at all, stuff like that.

Note: not a knock on Audiority. I'm speaking VERY generally at the moment.
