Gordon, there must be about fiveteen post in this thread about FL still not supporting loop-recording and overdubs although many users have asked for these features for a very long timeBeardedone wrote:Tell pray what is broke? I have not encountered anything yet.

I want the snap/quantize to go to 1/32 notes and or 1/64 noteBeardedone wrote:Tell pray what is broke? I have not encountered anything yet.
and yes i know there is a way to program your drums to get around this but that is not the point.

following the conversation I come to the conclusion that Gordon's 'fix what ain't broke' must be meant rather metaphorically than literallybmanic wrote:Well it can't be broken if it ain't even there.. so no problems then, eh?![]()

I love FL Studio (more than my girlfriend)
I hope (HOPE ONLY) the next version of FL will have these functions:
- Each channel will have it own Effects/EQ integrated.
- The Plugin List will be upgraded: each plugin has it own path to the .dll on the disk so that FL can find it faster (i fxxcking hate the status "Locating xyz......"). When Refresh the PluginList, it will have an option "Update new only" or stuff like that ...
- "Edit Event" will be integrated with Piano Roll (the below section) - (you can select which event will be edited by the list on the left which has pan/velocity etc... at the present)
- Shift-drag (scaling) in Piano Roll can be snapped
- Channel Filter for Ghost Channel Function in Piano Roll
- Playlist can be stretched like the note in Piano Roll - so that the pattern can be played "from where to where"
- Auto Crossfade for Audio Clips
- Will have Vol/Pan Envelope tool for Audio Clips in the Playlist
- The AudioClips Section of the Playlist will have it own Vol/Pan/Effects on each tracks (like other Multitrack Editing Programs such as Sonar/Cubase)
- Display Stereo Signal for AudioClips
- AudioClips can be expanded/collapsed (like Sonar etc...)
- AudioClips can be processed directly with other effects (just like Sonar) - you can right-click on the AudioClip, a list of Effect appears, apply an effect, the AudioClip affected right then.. (we have to send to SoundForge at the present day, the FL's WaveEditor is just like sh*t - sorry about that)
- 5.1 Surround sound availabled
- More path for VST Folder
- More Skins
...
Just some *hoping* - however i think these functions are easy to apply (you are genius, ImageLine)

by the way, does anyone know why it sounds sh*t when render with Plugsounds/Sytrus/Trilogy? (any plugin that uses UVI Engine) (it does have hard f*cking latency)
is that FL's bug? or compatible stuff?

yes, this is really the only major problem FL has, thankfully, only affecting a small (but quite popular) amount of plugins.
they know of it, and im sure they are looking to fix it asap.

Two things that are a must in FLS 5,6,7, etc.:
1) Better improvement on the fruity wrapper.
2) FLS built in sampler must be able to read & run other formats besides wav. files (at the least: akai, emu, Roland, & Korg).
And I'm dead serious.
