He wanted RS to separate them into two different products and i explained why they won't do that. I agree that they should focus on the whole DAW eco-system. That twitter post antic made a thread about isn't very convincing, no reason to see that as anything but intelligent marketing. Only a massive finished update (preferably several) to the DAW (with no overlap with the RRP) could make me believe there's actually a future for it at this point.
Got you now! :tu:

And you were spot on about that Twitter post. I was really keen to give him the benefit of the doubt but it's just a waste of energy, it seems.

Because u can wire them all.together into one.instrument and save your patches
The possibilities are endless
But some of the most interesting possibilities involve wires between tracks, modulators tweaking several instruments, sidechain manipulation, stacks of pattern sequencers... All stuff that is natural in the DAW and cumbersome-to-impossible in the plugin.

The new Player is out. 74EUR/USD or "free" with R+. It's also in Rewards Store.

After looking at few YT videos, I have to say it's pretty awesome!

Maybe, but compare a bassline generated by this vs. for instance Captain Plugins. Night & day difference. For certain types of music it looks like a pretty great device.

Can you link to a demo? Because I'm pretty satisfied with the basslines that CP makes. I never use those as it is of course, but they provide a good starting point from where I can work on.

Looks pretty cool though!

Yea thanks, looks cool, but while you are right that this is a lot better then Captain Deep, I actually use Captain Melody to write my basslines and it's the combination with Captain Chords that makes this approach still better for me. Looks like one of the best reandom bassline generator currently out there though, that's for sure, so certainly a good addition to Reason.

Right, that's true. However with a bit of wiring you can create a "chord track" in Reason that will control the key of - for example - chords generated by Scales & Chords, melodies played by QNG or PolyStep, arpeggios played by Dual Arpeggio, etc. You can make Reason's players work together, too. Obviously it's not as easy and more expensive, but still doable :)

Yea when I tried out Reason+ I felt that he generators are probably one of the underrated parts of reason. Not so flashy, but if you combine them you get great results.

The only reason for Reason is the reason that Reason is fun.

I like the new bass player combined with others. When the days are short here in Europe and the weather makes you stay inside, playing around with these players let me forget the madness around me.

Ah, since in NZ tobacco soon will be a crime, smoking will be a revolutionary act of resistance. I might as well light a cigarette after 16 years...
artie fichelle sounds natural

Yeah bassline generator is cool but not 74 euros cool. To me it feels like the should have included in the reason 12 update as well as Algoritm to justify the 199 price charge for an update.
I ve supported reason since 6.5 but I m really disappointed the route they taking now. For non subscriptions Users is the reason 12 update for 199 too little content for too much MONEY.
