I have to say my kick and snare came together quite quickly but right now I can't remember what I did... What I'm really happy with is the accidental harp that happened. I also partially re-created my daughter's favorite sound from the whisp-air challenge. Still working on the piece tho. I may hold it til the bitter end this time.

Hi guys

This is my first contribution.

For some time I've been watching and listening to earlier OSC's and finally decided to join.
I'm pretty new to sound design and not quite sure TC is the easiest starting point. 8)

So here's my entry. A simple and happy tune which gave me a lot of fun putting it together.

Very good. The sounds used blend together really well, not sure if due to sound selection or mixing or composition, or all of the above. It's hard, when using a single synth for everything, to carve unique sonic space so that everything doesn't become cramped in the midrange. Very pleasing and chill vibes.

I’m glad you liked it. Many thanks!
Initially I wasn’t very happy with the sounds from the TC. I found them too noisy and thin. But after some tweaking and better understanding of the idea behind the synth, I managed to come up with a useful sonic palette. Some of the sounds are made from scratch and some by tweaking presets.

Welcome! I'm glad you could participate in the OSC. That's a pretty good first submission :tu: , I hope we get to hear more OSC tracks from you in the future.

As you have seen I haven't yet learnt how to write comments... :)

I have a concern.

One of the rules says "Soundcloud file-name format: Artist - Track Title where artist name is the same as KVR nick."

My nicknames in KVR and Soundcloud are different so my entry in the OSC will be rejected?

I have sent a pm to Ben (?) and asked to change my nick in KVR.
So far no answer.

That’s a non issue really, as long as your name starts the song title

TDalhoy triple cheese KvR OsC or something like that it’s fine
Some don’t bother, some do
It’s not a dq factor :tu:

My entry, just in time before the Christmas holidays!

https://soundcloud.com/terjefjelde/robo ... al_sharing

Triple Cheeses: 19 instances from init
DAW: Studio One Professional 5.4
FX: IVGI (4), DC1A (6), ProEQ (17), SonEQ (1), Stereo Tool (4), Tal Reverb 4 (1), Beat Delay, (1), Unlimited

I initially wanted to play against the “nature” of TripleCheese (which I consider to be harpsy plucks, flutes, and altogether epic sounding landscapes - and I feel like I myself have done *too* much epic genre stuff in OSC by now!)

But there's still a harpsy pluck, and plenty of cheese to spare! 😁

I drew inspiration from a couple of sources. I have to admit that hearing @vovaman's entry last month lured me back to the '80s jazz-funk scene. And I built the Fagen'esque verse to a robot screensaver! Play it with the video running in the background - I'm sure you'll see what I mean.

Thanks to u-he for making what is almost certainly my favourite free synth!
