Yes, thanks, that's a great place to reach me. In fact, when I start typing "kvr" into my address bar, it automatically fills in the Bargain discussion thread. I visit that thread at least 10 times per day.Dirtgrain wrote: Fri Dec 23, 2022 7:03 pm It just that he needs to post in the Bargain discussion thread. Uncle E is there frequently and can offer him advice/insight while he waits for support.

it depends which oscillator shape you useplexuss wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 5:09 am Off the JRR customer support topic, how do you change the colour of the oscillator visualizations?
click the osc type name or right click the osc display, and it will show you all the options
but you can't assign your own color

Thanks. And, with that, I found a bug. When I start with INIT no matter what osc I choose, the colour is orange. I am making my own patches and so that's how I found it.
Sometimes, dude, it's not user error. I'll inform Dawesome.

There are multiple settings for the OSC that change the colour. For example if you increase SAW the display will go more into orange, if you increase SQ it will go more into green.plexuss wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 8:04 pm Thanks. And, with that, I found a bug. The default INIT patch has SAW set to about 50%, hence the display will always be in shades of orange. If you want to change this: click INIT, set SAW to 0, save the patch as "MY INIT" and then via context menu in the right sidebar you can make MY INIT your new init patch.

I got an email with my license number 2 days after I had already found it in my Tracktion account (thanks to advice from another KVR member). Everything is fine now, thanks.Uncle E wrote: Sun Dec 25, 2022 5:06 amPlease PM me if you're ever missing a license from us. In this case, Tracktion's US distributor ran out of codes and we had to wait for them to get more. Once they came in, I personally emailed them out to every customer who was waiting and confirmed that each one was sent. Very bizarre that you received the first email receipt but not the email with the license. I wonder if there's something about our license delivery emails that is triggering spam filters.thecontrolcentre wrote: Fri Dec 23, 2022 5:06 pm I emailed JRR three times before posting here. I didn't get my activation code until I posted here and a kind KVR member provided a possible fix for the issue. FYI it has now been another 8 hours since I emailed JRR for the 3rd time. I have received no reply. YMMV

Thanks I see that now. And thanks for the email explaination as well. In the few patches I created I didnt have the controls set to make other than an orange colour. But I get it now. Thanks.PetVor wrote: Mon Dec 26, 2022 5:20 pmThere are multiple settings for the OSC that change the colour. I had the same experience.
Received the first email with the "This license needs to be manually generated. You will be contacted immediately when it becomes available" text but never received the email with the actual activation code.
Checked in spam but nothing there.
It was, however, in my account on the JRR website.

Always had instant delivery and, if needed, great support from JRR. Kudos to the Uncle. And if his email gets trapped by your spam filter, just check your account. Your serials are in there.

Plenty of good ways to warm up a cold sound. I like to run things hot into an analog preamp emulation and dial out a bit of high end. Works like a charm.zvenx wrote: Thu Dec 01, 2022 9:28 pm I think he is fantastic with respect to innovation and what some have been asking for, new synths with new methods of synthesis..
I bought Novum, but after the first few days of euphoria, it sounds very digital and 'cold' to me (which may be some peoples thing, just not mine), this and his other one Abyss also sound very digital and 'cold' to me too.

I found the opposite, after a week of use I know which oscillators to use for thicker, warmer sounds. It is easy to make things sound harsh, just needs careful programming. It is really good at digital sounds, but using small amounts of F-shift and S-shift and nice organic movement. It can do deep warm bass, thick pads, and nice analogue leads well.zerocrossing wrote: Wed Dec 28, 2022 5:11 amPlenty of good ways to warm up a cold sound. I just have to add some praise. Especially Yuli Yolos presets are very inspiring... Thanks for that beauty...

I’m itching to demo it, but this week’s always tough with school closed, and my wife’s not working either.
