how about raising the cap a little so that the winner actually does end up getting the 500? that truly sucks.

I suppose alternately we could have someone collect posted cash/cheques on each continent and then combine them all at the end?

interesting. how do we send it to the winner in the end though? checks by mail is a good idea, cash I'm not sure about. say a person collects all the checks in one continent. then he wires? int'l wire fees are expensive. we charge like 20 for each. or mail the money? is that even safe? or mail the checks? the clearing time, the fees for international checks and all that.. exhange rates fluctuating and stuff.
