You bringing that up does make me realize what a horrible gear junky I'm being, though.

Eric I know man, I honestly did not you worked/dealed in gear yourself until susiwong pointed it out to me on this thread but that does not mean you can simply find and have everything you would like. Although i should imagine it does have some benefits of courseUncle E wrote:Believe me, these threads have been punishing me as much as the rest of you. it would be premature to answer that right now so I'll file it away and get back to you when I have a proper answerNEKRO.MACHINE wrote:Uncle E wrote:Believe me, these threads have been punishing me as much as the rest of you. when you are balancing the levels of each have you found yourself having to reach for EQ less? I ask as it is the biggest reason i favour going for more mics (and more texture due to the phase relationship)

Ok, I pretty much suck, but I am scared of this guitar. My fingers hurt, my pinky is in real pain, but I can't stop. I've improved .002% as a player (if I'm lucky
) but it doesn't matter, I can't put it down.
How am I supposed to send this thing back when I can't put it down???? (yes I wrote that over at the ibby forum too....very original....I know....)

Last week I bought a Crafter Acoustic Bass Guitar.
Who else has something like this?
Dunno if this counts as a "next guitar", but it's a beaut to play.
Acoustic bass offers something different that's really likeable.
> It plays without needing to be plugged in, so it's immediate & quick to use.
> It has three primary right hand tones
- fleshy thumb for soft
- thumbnail edge for a more distinct pick
- index and 2nd fingers for a loud and thwacking rattly sound
Because of these "pick options" it has loads of tonal variety which makes it sensitive yet powerful to play.
yumyum

sounds awesome kevvvvv, I dont own an accoustic bass but when I worked retail several used ones came through different stores that I worked at. If I recall correctly one was an Epiphone 'El Capitan' (sp)...I remember this one the best because it was at our store for a long time. Being a short, stalky guy with small hands tbh bass is not comfortable for me to play. (hell even with just my baritone I feel like a little kid playing because of it's size) so I play the bass on a 'need to' basis and generally tune it to the easiest tuning for the piece i'm working on.
congrats

no I didn't have a stick but sirriusbliss does...I did have one at a store I worked at and sold it. I had to tune it which was an experience but that would have been 1998 or 99.kevvvvv wrote:HinkAwesome too ... being able to practice on Eric Clapton Martins and the likes, all day long.I worked retail

I also had a unique amp at that store once too, then we did not have the internet so finding out info on it was tough...it turned out to be an Oliver and I kick myself for not selling it to my alter ego. We were not allowed to buy used gear without permission from our boss (this guy was one for the books to call him a

So i got the Scheter Damien 7 FR with 26.5" scale and its bloody great. The extra inch i am used to is not at all strange feeling and it plays so well/a good factory setup that i have left it with the factory strings on it so far with the lowest string dropped down to A (so its AEADGBE at the moment). Got a much more silly set ready to go on at some point but that can wait. The EMG 7-string HZ pickups are usuable but still will be getting upgraded at some point. Really happy with that one
Now its saving for the 6505+ combo and the rest. Pics soon
