Thanks - will explore thisCinematic expansions. The latter provide lots of dark and atmospheric sounds particularly suitable for Techno.
Did you email support?Raphie wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2020 3:32 pm That's now 2 hours gone, trying to install 156 euro worth of expansions, with a not working Avenger as a result.

For me it was pretty simple. I got one new expansion from 5 serials I bought a while ago. My steps were:MissOptimyst wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2020 4:47 pm I think there really needs to be more instructions on this...
For those who got VMan working properly, can you post your steps on how you refreshed your license and got it working with VMan? I think I read you have to deactivate via the site first, install VMan, and then I assume there is an activation on there somewhere?
I was planning to get VMan today too, but after Raphie’s post I’m really concerned. I really can’t be bricked out of Avenger right now I have too many projects I’m working on. Just want to make sure I’m following the steps properly. Also Raphie please let us know when you resolve your issue and how it gets resolved, if you can.
Thanks for the steps! Did you deactivate your Avenger license on the website before you installed VMan or is that not a necessary step? Somewhere in this thread it sounded like it was a step at one point so just checking!noiseboyuk wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2020 4:58 pm For me it was pretty simple. I got one new expansion from 5 serials I bought a while ago. My steps were:
1. surrender an unused serial on Register website to get Synthwave II.
2. Download and install Vman
3. Run Vman (it already had my login details and password somehow!)
4. Expansion showed up there - I pressed install.
5. I pressed the activate license button in Vman, top right
6. Closed Vman and Cubase, restarted everything
7. Expansion showed up in Avenger.
So that was it (I skipped a few dud / irrelevant steps).
Raphie - what zvenx is referrning to is that he had similar issues which were as a result of an old beta license for 1.5. Vman doesn't like that, but I think it was fairly simple to get rid of it - if you go back a page or two you will see the steps in one of his earlier posts.
If you didn't do the beta test then obviously something else is going on, and there's nothing for it but to wait for Rene in support.
I'm urging everyone to be patient with all developers at the moment, as there is a global pandemic going on that is causing a spot of bother. However annoying current activation problems might be, there's nothing like a loved one with the virus as a true leveller.
No, I didn't deactivate firstMissOptimyst wrote: Sun Mar 22, 2020 5:27 pmThanks for the steps! Did you deactivate your Avenger license on the website before you installed VMan or is that not a necessary step? Somewhere in this thread it sounded like it was a step at one point so just checking!
