Off course nobody alive has been in the studio while I was out. The children or cleaning lady would never even think about being in there without supervision. This must have happened as a result of the high humidity or something.

Yeah, and nobody here can understand WTF I'm about. It still sound OK doesn't it?

:x :x :x :-o
Sound on Sound visited a home studio where this had happened. While they did recommend a replacement tweeter, they actually just grabbed a vacuum cleaner to pop it back out
what a great idea!
Bubblegum -- preferably 'Bazooka'. Works every time. ;)

My Second Home, small but comfortable.

Very cheap Fender, beginner/learning guitar.
My first Radioshack keyboard.
The two behringer rack devices, just for looks (lmao) don't use them anymore/maybe one day.
Prosonus Eureka preamp.
M-audio Firewire 410.
JBL housespeakers (they suck, lookin for some monitors.)
Big Screen TV/Monitor cause I'm blind, j/k.
M-Audio Radium 49 controller.
Reason/FL studio and a bunch of VST's :D
Sennheiser/sony phones. M-audio luna/Rode mics
Plenty of movies/games for when I need inspiration.
And my trusty 2pac poster 8)

That's not a monitor, that's a flatscreen TV. Looks great but as far as I can see it has very low resolution (judging from that VSTi interface that's plastered across the screen ;) )

I do like the overall studio with all the absorbers and such.

Still tho

You could play PS2 without ever leaving your studio... I'd never see the light of day again!!!

Indeed. My current studio is in a small room, about 2,5 meter by 3,5 meter. If all goes well I move to a bigger room (about 4m x 4m) soon :D

Great thread, so much fun to see the labs of all you mad scientists! :)

Here's my current stuff:
Image

- Line6 GuitarPort

- M-Audio Omni I/O -> Delta66 PCI

- Yamaha MSP10 reference monitors (the first versions -- I got japed!)

- 19" Dell 1900FP LCD

- Dell Dimension 8200 PC (with like 5% of the original hardware in it)

- Tascam US-428 (over there cuz it's too freaking big to put on my desk -- that, and it's so much easier to just point and click with my mouse).

- Roland XP-60 Music Workstation with: Session, Drum'n'Bass, Techno, and Keyboards of 60's&70's expanders

- Nady SCM900 microphone

- Not pictured: PRS CE-22, Fender Roland-Ready Strat (sold the GR-33 though stupid idiot), Fender FS-250 dreadnought acoustic, Fender P-bass (the beginner one like $300), M-Audio Oxygen 8, Line6 POD 1.0, FLStudio Producer XXL, Cakewalk Sonar XL, Cubase SX3, Renoise 1.5, MadTracker 2, Synth1, Crystal, Cygnus, CM-xxx series, e-Phonic plugs (rules), NI xpress effects, Superwave P8, WusikStation Bigpack, EMU soundfonts from modulemania pack (proteus/orbit/etc), and most recently Tracktion 2 demo.

For fun here is what version 1.0 was like (before I realized "duh I can do all this in my computer!"):

:D 90% of that stuff in v1.0 was hocked on eBay. I <3 technology...[/img]

EDIT:

yes I know the current monitors aren't setup right (no room to do it right -- in fact I am thinking of selling them and buying a pair of nice mastering phones), and it is a living hell to get a good vocal in that room -- wood floors, plaster walls, and it's like 14x16 in size. Any tips on how I can remove the natural reverberation from the recoding of vocals (besides hanging a blanket behind the mic) would be helpful. I'm sure in software it's possible to compensate but I don't have enough technical foundation in sound reinforcement to know how to do it myself. :)
