It's only the Mac version. I'm talking to the company that makes the audio library,
and I'm going to fix the Mac build so it excludes the attempt to connect to Google Analytics.
Generally it should be harmless. Its just reporting that the audio library is being used.
My issue with it is that attempting to connect during plugin validation could be causing the Mac validation failures.

Does the Windows version connect to Google as well ?

No it doesn't. The Windows version is safe.

Can't tell if you seriously entertain that thought, but no, that didn't happen; it's impossible: it's just a file path, and I don't expect that the code adds your IP address, login name and password magically to it when looking up the directory. It was just odd to encounter somebody else's name in the path.FathomSynth wrote:OK, I just changed my Mac user name to Fathom so if that happens again it does not look strange.
But Please ! tell me that people can't just browse remotely to my development machine![]()

Very feakin cool. Nice mix.

I up loaded another video for those learning sound design with Fathom. This time making an FM bass sound and focusing on the front panel controls for modulators.
Please bare with me as I am trying to figure this whole screen capture thing out. Hopefully with experience comes better quality.

How do we know when updates are available? I haven't received any e-mail notifications and had to find out from this thread.

Was just thinking of something similar a few days back.
I was wondering if there's a way to randomize the phase of individual partials or modulate them with an LFO or something like that?

I noticed that too. Maybe a future feature.
Can you imagine partials flying around all over the place.......

SM, Thanks for making another video! Another great one. LOL, I find myself watching these so I can program my own synth better, really. I'll post the link again at the bottom so it stays the last post for a little longer.
FLWrd, currently you can not modulate individual partials. I was not planning on making individual partials modulated since that would be an insane CPU load.
However, I think even better, in 2.4 for the oscillator redesign I plan on making the spectrum UI available for all oscillators with snap shot points that can be modulated. There will be no limit on the number of partial snapshot points, and you will be able to use them to create a series of partial states that can be modulated with any modulator. The same will be true for the phase. It will basically be a wave table for partials. Also the Wave Table oscillator will be updated so you can use partials to define the wave points in addition to the wave draw interface.
That will give you what you need and probably be a lot easier.
Also, the partials will no longer be note locked so you can create inharmonic partials.
Killmaster, Sorry, I was waiting to send out a massive email on the 2.X releases after I fix a couple outstanding Mac OSX validation issues for a couple customers. I don't want to tell everyone there is a new release and then have it fail their plugin validation.
Plexuss, I added you to the "Artists Using Fathom" page, hope that's OK with you, using Fathom on "Grime" qualifies. SM, RPH, Artists page has been updated to embed your sound cloud tracks. I also added a button to the Artists page on the very top of the Home Page so it's not buried at the bottom.

Snapshots for partials would be very cool. That would mean you could evolve a sound by slowly (or quickly!) going though the snapshots, right? I created a simple patch that modulates an oscillator with all even partials and one with all "3rd" partials independently, and it sounds pretty cool.

I have recently noticed some odd behavior concerning the envelope modulator and it's song/note selector.
If I draw out my envelope first and then change from song to note, it doesnt change until I go back to the envelope and adjust something. I dont remember this happening before version 2.1

FLWrd, yes that's how it will work.
SM, I found that one also. Fixed it already for this next release 2.3.
I think 2.3 will be out today or tomorrow, just doing final testing.
Also added Phase Modulation and Pulse Width Modulation to the Wave Table algorithms.
