Not quite got mine. I thought mine would turn up today, so I got it sent to work. but the first delivery attempt was saturday.
it did get (re) delivered to work today, though. exactly two minutes after I left.

I've got some new toys on the way.
Some new IME modules which soft-launched, shipped today:

My King Slender and Destabilizer will arrive in this shipment. I also went ahead and placed my preorder for a Double Andore mk1 reissue.
Today, my Float Glass Arcade and Comb Room will arrive from Lorre-Mill. Really excited to use those with my other banana synths.
After doing the live stream with Eric, I looked up that Colorbox v2 that he was using (mic pre with EQ and lots of character, in pedal format) and discovered they are currently on sale for <$350! I ordered two!
I also picked up a CME H4MIDI to use with my live rig.

I played around with the Stylophone CMP-DF8 at NAMM back in January and I really liked it. I played with it again today at Perfect Circuit and liked it just as much. Luckly they didn't have any in stock or I might have had to bring one home!
I also discovered that NoiseBug in Pomona are stocking BugBrand modular stuff now! Could be dangerous!

Lorre-Mill package arrived so I figured I'd record some sounds.

They haven't measured it (why not, now that somebody asked?) but it does go acceptably far into audio rates for my purposes, from a short video clip they have.foosnark wrote: Sat Nov 22, 2025 3:57 pm Holocene Electronics SIPO looks promising but I'm waiting to hear back what the maximum clock rate is.
I'm still going to wait and see how Nibbler behaves in my system before I decide I need a second shift register. Meanwhile Nibbler is also in VCV Rack so I've been experimenting with it there.

The FGA is a wacky thing but it has so much range!vurt wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 6:30 pm now if i can just stop lusting after lorre mill gear (thanks justin) i can start buying xmas gifts!
All the sounds in this video are the result of one patch and just one of the 16 different joystick modes. I love how the shift register locks into rhythmic patterns so easily but just as easily freaks out into chaotic skronk. It's a little touchy but easy to find the sweet spots.

Oh yeah! I had my eye on the Nibbler, what a cool concept! Despite having some really cool designs, somehow Schlappi completely escaped my mind... The modular market is so vast at this point, it's a wonder how I can store any number of these brands in brain RAM.foosnark wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 3:00 pm

I really liked the Angle Grinder. It sometimes surprises people that it can be completely stable and makes a nice sweet-sounding filter (the design is generally similar to Serge VCFQ and Joranalogue Filter 8 ) or a clean and almost wavetable-ish sounding oscillator. I think people only expect chaos and weirdness from it.justin3am wrote: Wed Nov 26, 2025 9:23 pm Oh yeah! I had my eye on the Nibbler, what a cool concept! I had Interstellar Radio for a while too and it was a lot of fun as a wonky sound source, but a bit too destructive as an audio processor for my tastes..

I feel giddy. Time is out of joint. I’ve put something up for sale.
Surely my role in these things is just to consume, consume, consume?
Am I suffering from SAG?
