Yeah... series was the word used and one might be pretty obvious anyway with that in mind. Some great stuff all around though.redshift factor wrote:you mean about 3 new product announcements coming up in April?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:(with a little tease in there in the comments).

Nah, I'm just keeping attention away from another GrooveMaker product and/or SampleTank 3 and T-RackS 4

No. Somewhere else I mentioned one of the things was guitar-related. I was asked if it was hardware, software, or AmpliTube related. The answer was: "hardware AND software AND AmpliTube related and NOT StealthBoard"

Alright, that makes 1 product, which is not an AT3 expansion it seems.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:No. Somewhere else I mentioned one of the things was guitar-related. Yes, one product that is all the above things and a couple other things that are pretty cool too. You know we always have some cool stuff up our sleeve, multiple things in this case so different segments can be happy I think.K-Slash wrote:Alright, that makes 1 product, which is not an AT3 expansion it seems.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:No. Somewhere else I mentioned one of the things was guitar-related. Well, I've been asking for a number of years now that IK make a USB amp face surface controller for live/stage tweaking of AmpliTube amps (gain/tone/reverb/volume). So I get one for free if it is, right?Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Yes, one product that is all the above things and a couple other things that are pretty cool too. Or is it going to be IK's answer to the Line6 Spider?
I figure one of those 3 products has to be SampleTank 3, since that's been so openly discussed in public for a long time now.
So that leaves one more that is truly a mystery.
I'm hoping for a T-RackS expansion pack that adds preamps, mixbusses, and analog tape modules.
IK should take note of how much interest there is out there for these types of plugins, and how poorly this demand has been met by major developers. There is real opportunity here for IK. DSM was made for this very thing, and I have become convinced that we will not see satisfactory tape saturation and tube preamp plugins until IK finally jumps in.

Completely agree with the above post.
That said, it's too soon for an AT3 expansion pack for the others products.
It would make no sense to have modeled more amps, cabs and pedals and not included them in AT3, IMHO.
So I think we'll see the 2 others coming products coming before the first expansion pack for AT3.
I bet on SampleTank 3 first, and a T-RackS 3 expansion pack after.
TR3 has been released late 2008, so a TR4 can make sense if it comes after summer...
It would have to be a big update hehe
.
Well, speculations, it's a love/hate game.

It's never too soon for an AmpliTube expansion!K-Slash wrote:That said, it's too soon for an AT3 expansion pack for the others products.
I'd love it if IK threw in a Hiwatt Custom 100 DR-103 and a Boss CE-2 or Ibanez CS9 for free in the next update, but as we know, AmpliTube 3 is going to have à la carte models in the future. So I suspect they won't be free. But the sooner we can start adding to AT3, the better, either way! I think the whole idea behind it is getting the most requested models to users as soon as possible, instead of having to wait a whole year for the next new edition.

Probably not the right place for IK wishlist, but a big +1 on a TR4 upgraderedshift factor wrote:I'm hoping for a T-RackS expansion pack that adds preamps, mixbusses, and analog tape modules.Peter - IK Multimedia wrote:Yes, one product that is all the above things and a couple other things that are pretty cool too. Amplitube3 is not capable of basic dynamic RAM allocation. A New expansion pack will most certainly mean an even higher RAM hit per instance.redshift factor wrote:It's never too soon for an AmpliTube expansion!K-Slash wrote:That said, it's too soon for an AT3 expansion pack for the others products.

By the way for an AT3 expansion pack, following "POD Farm 2" bass models could be an awesome addition :
http://line6.com/podfarm/models.html
If IK puts his hands and modeling experience on these, it could be the best bass amp sim EVER !
