Wacky song but cool vocals, although it sounds like the singer gets bored too quickly. I think this is a neat production but I was expecting a more cheerful tune... :) I am unable to make out the lyrics but the obvious ripoff from "Where have all the flowers gone" in the middle of the lyrics is cool (if I'm wrong then I can probably sue you because our company owns the rights to some of those notes, I'm sure).
Cheers kovacs,

Lyrics Here
(if you are interested)

WHATFG = same chord sequence - like a million other songs; I'm just lazy I guess. And easily bored... :)

Thanks Sven, sorry to be too bouncy and happy for your hangover. I hope you are going to sign emdot before the final curtain. :)

FWIW, as a customer, i'd be much more likely to buy this kind of music than a lot of the more formated sexy pics'singles the majors want to feed us with. there's also an alternative market with dedicated labels, especially in France. so no, you're not out of theme.
Ixox wrote:And thanks for using my plugin in your song, i have the feeling that i played with you... :D
hehe, your flute is a wonder. however, i'm sure you can play much better than the 3 unlively notes i've used your flute for in that track. i dream to use it for a much more ambitious project, classical type. BTW. it'd be cool if you could add a "trille" mode.

I'm totally agree. Ixox, Your are not alone :)

Second part of my reviews. The exec got tired so these are mostly my usual kind of reviews.

Barnadine - Love Strikes
Cool with the mandolin! Good, driving rhythm without getting too noisy. the sound is a bit muffled but I am listening on cheap Creative speakers at work (EMI execs really get the bad stuff). ;) Vocals are well done. Easy listening.

Lady J - Mr. Right (Now)
404 Not Found. Sorry.

Respirator - biggest hit
Funny stuff, ironic. You laugh at my exec ass and I don't like it. Especially not the horrible chorus. Which in fact sounds great - cool breaks too. Great stuff. I'll get drunk again tonight and shout your name from the rooftop. Nice and messy ending before the last chord...well produced.

mchlwlsn - jongleur
Cheerful jaathy song. Not sure if it is trying to be fusion or folksy pop, the guitar tells me this is fusion but the overarching synth says pop. A good mix of sounds, maybe the guitar is too prominent, but the piano is great. Nice piece.

plunge - tabasco
Repetitive yet cheerful. Doesn't really go anywhere as far as I'm concerned. I like the sounds. Nice production but not varied enough for my mood.

ZioKiller - Noisy Town
"Noisy town"? This piece puts me to sleep instantly. It is a good production and very clean sounds, I'd guess "Reason" all the way (even sounds like a famous Reason demo). It's beautiful but it's muzak. Sorry.

remco - future bride
Good lyrics and good singing. I think this could have been spiced up a bit, but it works as an elctronica-pop mix. Honest sounds and overall a fun piece...although a bit on the sad side. That makes sense...

Techbot - copyright this
Wow...busy stuff. Sounds like my radio tuner is going haywire again. This is too noisy and messy for me. I do hear an overall coherence but it's not something I'd listen to on a radio. I get a sense that you spent a lot of time on this, though - it is a good piece, productionwise but not above my cut.

grotman - while you were sleeping

DanSad - Track
Your file has expired.

Katanaman - Open Letter To The Man
Great! Love it. Needed some metal. It does sound a little too generic, though...although perhaps the catchy chorus revives it a bit. Might make my cut.

RichieBee - Child of the Eighties
Great opening. Cool organ sounds. Overall a very good production and this is interesting, but not too unique. I don't get the eighties connotation, at least not musically. (Was hoping for Mr Mister or Chris deBurgh...uhm...)

scamme - obvious junetic
Good intro and neat synth sounds. Simple arrangement. Okay development although the song doesn't really stand out that much. Easy listening without any particular demands on my ears.

M'Snah - Popstar
Wacky and wicked. But very well done. Sounds very clean. Nice backing vocals (not to mention the lead). This is great work, Hans.

System ERA - Let Me Just Lite This Shit!
LOL. Well, it sounds professional, cool to listen to, catchy chorus, clear mix, good production...nah, won't make my cut. ;)

Beardedone - It's a deal
Man, this is weird stuff. I needed a few listens on this one. Some cool instrument choices. Neat break around the middle, with following upbeat rhythms. I think it could have benefited from a lead but it might ruin the mood. Great use of drums, DFH or BFD for sure.

WoJ - Eight
Hehe - straight oldschool U2 opening gets my attention. But it lasts perhaps a bit too long for a 2 min piece. Then the drum part kills the motion...and then it picks up again. Sort of like when my 4-year-old daughter is playing soccer (runs to the ball from 50 meters, stops, then kicks). The development towards the end is very good but the guitar is too repetitive. The killer here would be some EP or something to get a nice rounded end. And this piece definitely lacks vocals - it's a great backing but not a complete standalone piece.

Ixox - The road to a 25 million dollars deal
(Dream On Mix) I always like your stuff because of the nice tones and also your excellent musicality. This is easy listening and melodically simple but rich in development. I like the orchestral movements which starts around the middle. How this is gonna get you 25 mill I don't know but it's a likeable piece. Stay on that road and you'll get there.

Pheeleep - Dreaming
Nice guitar sounds on top of a good backing. This piece is slightly too slow to my ears. Maybe a good thing - a couple of haunting notes in the background gets my attention now and then. I want more development, though. The final 30 seconds sound like a cadence which is too much in a 2 min piece.

Khepira - Let Yourself Be Free
Good DJ piece - dancefloor track. Very sturdy synths and lots of motion in the melody. This is enjoyable but doesn't really stand out from the crowd. It is very well produced, though. Even on my louse speakers it comes out nice and clear. Good job.

TristezaOrange - Coastal Town
Hm. Not sure where to place this. It is nice but just that, "nice". I listened to it twice and I simply don't understand it. It does not work for me, sorry.

...xander - Slow Down Jackie
Disco! Yeah! Great intro. But the vocals tell me my disco classification was way off. Too bad, I'm ready for some disco...vocals don't really fit the music! Theis is a spy movie theme or something. But still - it is a good piece, well written and it hangs together for two minutes without falling apart. Good job.

Knockman - The Contract
Contract for what? A kill? :) Haunting song. It hangs together well, but to me this sounds like an afterthough which would come after another piece. I really like the cello in the back, beautiful touch. Might make my cut.

Seus Hawkins - Suicide Booth
No access to file

Vitamin D - Midnight is a Destination
Our resident tarncemaster is at it again. Four to the floor and nothing new...hey wait! Something happens! A solo? The synth solo in the middle is "nice" but surprisingly thin compared to the fat, juicy bass sound which I really like. I think this is one of your better pieces so far, though. Good job, VD.

peppy197 - Power Peanuts
Pink Floyd-like chords in the beginning but Safri Duo drums after that...then TV series sequence followed by, uhm, more of the same. This wants to go everywhere but gets nowhere. It sounds like two different pieces, really, with teh development around the middle. It does grow in the end but you muffle the sound so it drowns itself.

Hovmod - Record Deal
First of all this is a very well produced piece of music, but I dislike the vocals. They sound forced and unnatural (and not in a death metal kind of way). The guitar solo towards the end is uninspiring and too monotonous. Good drum work, and I also like the tremolo power chords. Not my fave piece, though.

donkey tugger - timberlake
Nice and professional. Good soul intro. I don't think Justin would sound so bored, though. :) I don't have too much to say about this piece - it sits all right in my ear but I don't find it too interesting, sorry.

Wopelka - You know who's the man
If I were an exec I'd sign you, Wopey. You have the funkiest stuff at KVR and this is another cool piece from you, showcasing your unique sound and voice. I don't know French but it doesn't matter one bit with music this good.

You(tm) - Athens
Quiet and nice, albeit a bit slow for me. For some reason I think the voices clash a bit - they get mushed together, and the long, drawn out notes feel *slightly* out of tune, although it is probably just bad perception on my behalf. The guitar is a bit overpowering - I'd put more emphasis on the vocals.

Paulie Phonick - DJ Paulie Phonick vs John Cage - 4'33" (RaceAgainstTime Eddit)
Hehe - 4:33 in 2 minutes...I frankly think this is overdone by now. Heard it before. And the hum of my laptop is too annoying. Nice ending, though.

farlukar - Oiiftm
Great bass and cool sweeps. Haunting! This would be a great piece of game music. The development at the middle could do with some buildup first, I think - the piece almost dies just before it. But then the drive gets up and stays up. I think more tonal development would be nice but all in all I like this piece.

AndreasE - Melrock
Beautiful piece. Great intro and good development. A bit naked, perhaps. There are a couple of sudden shifts which sound like bad cuts, so productionwise this is not perfect to my ears. I like it, though!

Hah. Thanks - that's as good a review as I could expect for that piece. I would say you're pretty much spot on. I can't sing, and it WAS forced and unnatural. The solo WAS uninspired and monotonous(part by design, part by accident). I too like the drums and the production, it sounds loud and obnoxious. So I agree with you 100%. :D

Some "trille"... That would be great... The problem is what kind of "trille" ?
Half tone ? Full tone ? Both of course...
Fast, medium, slow ? The three ?
To be nice, it would also require an articulation with the trille that begins imedialty and an other one with the trille which starts slowly to finish fast...

That's a big work !!

$25,000,000 is more a title to try to fit the theme than what i expect to earn....

Just voted.. I'll put some reviews up in a bit...

May I just say I'm amazed how few votes the Tugger got so far.. It's an entertaining and well produced pastiche of the modern R'n'B genre. In any case, I hope he gets some more votes soon.
