What if they don't need any information on the invoices to us about where we have to transfer the invoice amount? What if they use the convenient IBAN that we all confirm to empty our business accounts? Best of all when they are legally in the USA and on the verge of bankruptcy? I trust them to do anything these days! How can you protect yourself? They are a global payment provider... :(

Inside the EU/SEPA region? Pretty easy: Just tell your bank to do a chargeback. Can be done within 8 weeks with no questions asked.

And apart from that - they must not even use SEPA direct debit without an explicit SEPA authorization from you anyway.

Can you be so sure in times of real time bank transfers? 8 weeks is a long time? Are the IBANs in a database? If you are a fraudster... Are you really protected by the SEPA mandate even if there is nothing left in the DR account after a few hours? I wouldn't be so sure. The idea is perverse but justified...

Hopefully this is true. I am concerned about them stealing funds from our account for made-up fees. It would be a hassle to move to a new bank as we've been with our current one for 20+ years.

It says for non-authorized payments (without a valid mandate), you can even do a chargeback within 13 months.

You are absolutely on the safe side, here in good old Europe.

Post

This is probably the case for everyone here and you know it... you can probably even draw conclusions based on the sales of the last few years as to how high an amount can be that is covered...

SEPA is under the control of the... USA... great... when will Trump be sworn in? Nothing is safe in this world anymore... unfortunately

Post

Does the "E" in "SEPA" stand for "America"? I don't think so 😅

And about possible fraud... You need a bank to initiate the payment, and the bank must (and will) only execute it if you can present a valid mandate. It's all written down in the SEPA rules.

Post

yps... you've calmed me down a bit. I hope you're really right... Thanks!!!

These are credit note invoices.

There is a number in a form # e5-DE-2024-XXXXXX-YYYYYYY included in each credit note invoice I received where xxxxxx is your account number.
Nope. Mine doesn't have that today. I do see that number on previous credit notes and also on their invoice at the end of October. But this latest invoice (on 2. Dec. 2024) has no number of any kind.
Same here. All my previous credit notes had a number. The latest doesn't.
Also no mention on how or when you're supposed to pay them.
To me it looks like another way to convince their remaining customers to close their account so they can wait 180 days to pay.

They charged 180 EUR for my 'when do I get paid' question.

I checked my previous monthly payment reports and noticed they changed something:
August report: "The total balance of EUR xxx will be paid to you in 14 days."
September and October report: "The total balance of EUR xxx will be paid as per the terms in your contract."

So they should have paid my July revenue on August 23.

I am in the United States. Let's face it, nobody here is going to be paid. The people at DR are thieves and crooks.

Another alternative is BMT Micro. https://www.bmtmicro.com/

I've got a Christmas card from my new payment provider. You too?

I think it's over now at Digital River when they not even manage anymore to issue the October period statement.

They're done.

Post

Maybe they think when they're not issueing a statement at all they also won't be obligated to pay this period since the new master agreement says the payment will be issued 30 days after the release of the statement
