HOLY SCHNIKIES! :o':  :wheee:
Thank you everyone! With all the great entries this month, I thought for sure I'd be much lower in the pecking order of things.

And what a month! :phew: We all knew the voting was tough, but it was so cool to see so many entries. When I look at the results list, there's so many entries I would have given "5's" to. In fact, looking at the list, there's a lot of entries that received low final scores or even zeros that were amazing pieces of music, definately worthy of 5's! It's the huge and wonderful selection that made voting so different this time, so please, don't let that discourage you from entering again! The variety of people and music is part of what makes this contest so fun.

I really liked working with Dune! Once I got into the mod-matrix I couldn't stop! Very soon, I'd like to upload the patches I programmed to KVR, and maybe throw in some new ones. I'll let you know on the OSC general discussion thread when it's ready.

Unfortunately I probably won't be participating with Retrologue this month. I got a lot of stuff to take care of at home, but I'll be back really soon, and look forward to even tougher competitions (and voting!)

OSC means a lot to me. Putting in an entry like "Great Hunter in the Sky" gives me a feel for what people think of the music I do. And I appreciate all of your feedback, encouragement, and inspiration.

So, thanks again for all your votes, and congratulations to Jasinski and AdagioCM for entries that blew me away!

:) -Paul

Now that it is official, big congratulations again Paul! And Jasinski, congratulations for the second place, earned despite the "handicap" of having two strong entries dividing up the votes you received. Great job guys!

This is the first time I managed to make it to the top 3 (with the narrowest possible of margins ;) ), and I'm extremely happy to have received so many votes in this amazing month!

I second what Paul said: even many of the entries with low or zero votes were really great during this competition. Everyone outdid themselves.

I'm not yet sure if I will participate in the Retrologue competition. I've managed to come up with a few decent sounds so far, but as far as the composition, my muse hasn't been speaking with me for some reason :( There is still some time, so we will see if that changes.

Thanks V'ger and Irion for organizing this competition and making this place such a great environment!

PMW- a win well deserved. I thoroughly loved your track!
Congrats to adagiocm too.

Like everyone else said, so many tracks were amazing and easily could have sat at the top. The OSC is such a fun community- divers styles, very nice people, and a good personal monthly exercise.

Thanks everyone who voted for my stuff, I really appreciate then encouragement.

Congratulations to all winners!

Good to see that so different styles do have a chance to win the OSC. This is fair and showes that is realy about music and skills. And there is lot of that to hear in the last months. I love to see this group growing. I am proud to compete with you, guys!

Also thanks to all, who voted for me!

Grats with the win PWM, well done against so many good tracks. :tu:

And I second your point that with so few points to hand out to so many entries, there will always be good songs with a low score so be aware of this phenomena people and don't take it to heart at all. Just look at for example Jasinski who got 2nd and 4th but also 0p last place..

But incredibly close for the 3rd spot, only separated by 2 and 1 pointers.. 8)

Also agree with Ruedi, nobody should feel under obligation to change anything because of the DR number. Remember that some songs sound better with a low range and others with big.

Congrats to PWM, jasinski, and adagiocm! :D

Lots of tracks from this month I'll be keeping in my playlist. Will be picking up the full version of Dune when I can. Amazing synth!
