This is good, can't wait for the new skins. Hopefully a bunch of people will jump on board then, as a suspect quite a few more will when import is added too. Good stuff being planned. I myself was wondering recently when to expect a new update :hihi:.

On another front, I'm back to working full time on some rapid soundsets. Three are in the finalizing stages which will total altogether 1000 presets. All 3 will cost less than one of the soundsets coming directly from parawave, which come with about 128ish. So, ten times the content for the same price basically :hyper: Sound good? Hope so :hihi: cuz it's a lot of work :ud:

Hopefully all 3 will be released within a month, all patches are already finished. I certainly want to release the bunch before wavetable import is added. Even 1000 presets without wavetables might not have so much appeal. If I could, I'd add hundreds for each set, so it's not like I'm holding out or anything :hihi: More videos, and threads incoming, very happy to back on the ball again and physically able to start on project again :D

I am wary of anyone claiming so many presets for a synth in so little time. It takes time to design good presets. I mean...1,000 presets in short period of time and charging such a small amount? :?

Short period of time? It feels like I've been working on this project for a very long time so it's a little funny to hear someone say that. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of hours so far and have already narrowed down to reach the 1000 mark. No need to be wary though, as with all my soundsets I release, I stream hundreds of demo's, of nearly every single preset, and make videos showing them live in action. The quality of the soundset should be very apparent this way, I think -- so no surprises.

As for the price point, I do it because I love doing it, so being generous is easy. Also, for such a new synth with not so many users, it's the way it has to be I think, especially when banks are being released with mutlisamples and wavetables.

Good luck.

Sorry if I was being adversarial any. It is quite a massive project and I still have a lot of work to do on it. When I think of how much I still need to do to complete this project, your sarcasm isn't helpful, rather a bit of an enthusiasm killer. I'll let the audio and video demos speak for the quality of the presets themselves, unhindered by preconceptions. Thanks for your input.

Planned is at least a "dark theme", as this was requested the most.
Additionally a few coloured ones. I think people expect a blue one.

3. Minor Features
Sustain Pedal, After Touch, additional modulation stuff.

The decision to improve the GUI before implementing the wavetable import was made because this way Rapid will reach a wider audience. More people disliked the GUI than the missing import feature.
It's definitely a bigger update, that's the reason it takes a while. But it will be cool, I think with the new enhanced visuals (ready for all screen sizes) it will also be easier/quicker to introduce new modules.

After this is done, the next thing will be the wavetable import.

Please do keep also the current colorscheme!

I surely would miss it! (And I despise 'dark' themes!) :(

To clear things up a bit, I have around 1000 presets to split up in some banks. 130 of which were released in the first soundset Northern Lights, and another 70 or so will be added in an update to this soundset soon. I plan to split the remaining in two more soundsets and release one at a time as they are completed. That involves assigning modulations to the 800 presets, descriptions, audio streams of nearly every patch, video's, and a few full fledged demo tracks, hence the delay in release. Once all the soundsets are released, I will bunch them up in an ultra pack at a very competitive price.

The first thing I am releasing is an update and complete relaunch of the Northern Lights soundset. I injured my back, the sciatic nerve, while weightlifting, of all things, so it prevented me from finishing up all the demos, videos, songs, etc to market it properly. Hence, I locked that thread up and will create a new one shortly. Once it is done I will send out the updated soundset to those who purchased as I keep adding to it while I'm working on the demo tracks. Despite everything, I love working with Rapid, it is such a great synth and a joy to create patches in, so I'm excited about the whole project. Let's hope it gets even better as times goes on, cheers!

Have a skin menu or something so we can choose which one, and maybe consider making it skinnable, if it isn't already, so others can have a go at it :tu:

Yes I'd like the same type of thing. As usual I want to mention Satyatunes and Limeflavour skins are great. It would be nice if they designed an alternate one for this synth.

I actually like some of the darker skins I've seen on some synths. I'd still like the option to switch back to the original.

I think this synth is underrated

It deserve much more love

We released a new extension. Vintage Sol.
This one focuses more on traditional analog sounds and stands tries to establish a contrast to the EDM heavy Electronic Energy extension.
How do you like the sound?

@Development:
Still working on the new GUI. I will post screenshots as soon as there is something cool to show.

Sounds great, nice work on this.

The demo still sounds like some kind of edm, but i really dig it, unlike the first extension.

Your synth sounds amazing. :tu:
