That is probable the solution since clearly the developers don't seem to think there is another solution.
It is just hard to play when it is spiking all over the place...

And yes it is the only synth I have too that does it.

Meh in all honesty I don’t care all that much to report it. Seems a known issue and unlikely to change.

msvs, if you don't mind my asking, What kind of Macs are your developers testing this on? What are the specs the developers are using as a target?

I have a 3 Ghz Mac Pro and anything below a buffer of 256 will overload a core on every note-on. This isn't generally on factory patches, this is usually in the more complex patches in the Expansion Packs.

What Mac do the developers have where this is not an issue?

Post

I have no idea unfortunately. Like I said, I have no clue about macs, I dont even know how their product line. You should ask the dev directly :)

How is that even possible for somebody who works in tech? lol

They make, what, 5 computers? All with pretty much universally known names like 'MacBook'. You might have seen one in some movie product placement, it's got an Apple on the back.

seems like you didnt get it. I dont work in tech! Our support knows Macs. I am sound designer and not interested in the Mac product line. I dont need and I dont want to be an expert there. It simply doesnt interest me :) I know PCs in and out and I know for sure I will never own a Mac.

Post

I know, you wear it with pride.

Personally I've never heard of a ThinkPad or a Surface Pro because only IT Pros have heard of Windows machines 🐸

Anyway, sorry for the interruption.

I heard the names Macbooks, PowerMac, Imac, mini, air, Pro or whatever. But I dont know their specs, how fast they are, which versions there are at the moment etc. I am simply not interested in knowing. I know there is google search, yes. But I would have forgotten in 1h later anyways. However you can ask me things about current features of Avenger here, sound design questions, modulation questions, sound related bugs or questions about future features, I am happy to answer them.

I think your sound design over the years is excellent, here and in other projects. Respect.

Indeed.
I bought Gladiator 2 because of a patch called.

PA Sidechain Pad MS (I am sure he doesn't even remember it).

I’ve bought a couple of XP-bundles (pick 5) because of the insane sound design. And it’s not just the presets and sequences per se - it’s what you can do with them and how much inspiration they give.

I usually reverse-engineer the presets, and then tweak them to something new and unique. That way, my sound design skills have increased a lot.

If you can point me to some sort of customer service representative who is able to relay this question to them that would be great.
